The Hideout is a place where you are not only going to spend a lot of time, but you are also going to want to invest a lot in Assassin's Creed Shadows. There are a lot of these buildings and they each have their own upgrades, and you will want to prioritize some of them over others. There are five total buildings that can be upgraded, and they all have their own benefits.

There are a fair number of easy mistakes to make in Assassin's Creed Shadows, and not occasionally checking in on your Hideout might be one of them. You want to use your best judgment no matter what, and different playstyles will favor different options, but some of the buildings in the Hideout are more important than others.

Best Buildings To Upgrade First In AC Shadows

Two Methods Of Thinking To Get The Best Hideout

While it does depend on what you want the most, I believe there are two main ways to think about things. Either you prioritize your Scouts, or you prioritize the benefits for yourself when you are building your Hideout in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Ubisoft swiftly addressed issues in Assassin's Creed Shadows regarding cultural accuracy and respect for shrines in response to concerns in Japan.

If the former, you should upgrade the Stables and Study first. The Kakurega would be a strong third choice, but the Stables and Study are more immediately beneficial for Scouting.

The Scout Method

Having the additional Scout from the Study is huge, especially with how the seasons change in Assassin's Creed Shadows. If you want to grab any additional resources by using Scouts to transport them, the additional workforce will allow you to Scout out more missions or gather more resources before waiting for time to .

Building

Upgrades

Study

Level 2: Gain an additional Scout.

Level 3: Gain an additional Scout; reduce the search zone for quests by 60%.

Stables

Level 2: Stockpiles use up half as many Scouts.

Level 3: 20% more resources from Stockpiles.

The Stables allow you to gather resources easier and with less Scouts, giving you even more flexibility.

The Individual Method

However, if you want to upgrade the main characters, the Forge and the Kakurega are the ones to grab. This is because the Forge allows you to get better weapons and armor and put engravings into your weapons. This may seem less immediate, as it will be a while before you reach level 20. However, the engravings can give you a significant boost, so keep that in mind.

Upgrades

Kakurega

Level 2: Seasonal rumors for legendary chests and notable collectibles become available.

Level 3: Unlocks more Kakurega locations and reduces Kakurega costs by 30%.

Forge

Level 2: Weapon and armor can be upgraded to level 40, and non-legendary engravings can be applied.

Level 3: Weapons and armor can be upgraded to level 60, and legendary engraving can be applied.

Meanwhile, the Kakurega can get you things like legendary chests. This will get you better gear on the whole, and this is the upgrade I would prioritize quite quickly. It does cost a fair amount of resources, but the Kakuregas scattered throughout Japan will keep you well supplied as a whole.

Before the discount, a Kakurega in the city usually cost 800 coins to unlock.

As you can see, the Dojo is the lowest priority overall. It will be a bit of time before you can get the resources to upgrade any Hideout buildings. It's also worth trying to save up some resources to get some specialty buildings that can't be upgraded. But there are lots of potential options for you to unlock in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
