History has always played a huge part in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and now during today’s E3 livestream by releasing a wealth of new content for fans of Eivor’s quest to find a new homeland for their Viking clan.
First came most ambitious battle in Viking history as they face off against the armies of Carolingian Emperor Charles the Fat in the Kingdom of West Francia. However, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s third DLC expansion will place players in a much quieter, mundane setting.
During today’s E3 2021, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Senior Community Developer Karen Lee thanked players for their of the game since its launch in November, as well as discussed the various DLC expansions that her team has planned. Among them is Discovery Tour - Viking Age, an alternate mode that takes players out of the boots of Eivor and into the everyday lives of civilians living in the world of Valhalla. In this new expansion, players will roam Evior’s Viking settlement, performing various jobs and diving deeper into the history behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The Assasin's Creed Valhalla presentation can be seen below:
The new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Discovery Tour expansion was just one of the many exciting announcements made at today’s Ubisoft Forward event, which gave players a closer look at titles like Rainbow 6: Extraction and Rider’s Republic. There were also features on Just Dance 2021, Rocksmith+, and even a new CGI trailer for the game’s primary antagonist, Anton Castillo.
The new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Discovery Tour might not have the action of Wrath Of The Druids or The Siege Of Paris, but it looks to be a fun and educational look into the world that Ubisoft has crafted for their latest historical open-world adventure. Players will be able to dive into the past once again when Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Discovery Tour -Viking Age launches sometime this fall, and before that in The Siege Of Paris this summer.
