The second boss whom players encounter in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is Baraad, a vicious, battleaxe-wielding warrior who goes by the title "Lord of the Black Streets." While this boss's moveset is not very difficult to learn and dodge, the tight space of the arena can be a problem that might result in an untimely demise for Hilda, the female protagonist of this action RPG.

Another element of the Baraad boss fight that might pose a challenge for some Asterigos combatants is the color of his character model and the dark shade of the small arena. Unless he is using one of his fire-imbued elemental abilities, it can be tricky to see what his next move will be, especially when positioned on the opposite side of the chamber. Accordingly, the best course of action will be to always have one's finger ready on the dodge button or key. In other words, it is better to be ready to blindly dodge than attack without proper visual indication of what Baraad's next attack is.

Uppercut Swing	Mechanic: Baraad will briefly wind back before executing an uppercut with his axe. Optimal Reaction: Dodge backward or perform a parry attack.
Basic Slash	Mechanic: Baraad will perform a diagonal slash from the left or right. Optimal Reaction: Dodge into the direction he is slashing from or parry the attack. His reaction time is slow enough for players to counterattack the boss in this action RPG.
Storm of Fire	Mechanic: Baraad enchants his magical ring before slamming into the ground, igniting the floor in an AoE blast. Optimal Reaction: Roll into the fiery explosion right before it touches Hilda.
Leaping Slam	Mechanic: Baraad will leap into the air and bring his axe down in a vertical swing. Optimal Reaction: Dodge to the left or right.
Fiery Slash Combo	Mechanic: Baraad's battleaxe will become ablaze, and he will slash six times, with the sixth being a delayed slam. Sometimes, he will perform Storm of Fire after this attack. Optimal Reaction: Stand far from Baraad and wait to dodge during his sixth slam.
Fireball Barrage	Mechanic: Baraad will hurl fireballs at Hilda. Optimal Reaction: For the single fire fireballs, repeatedly dodge to the right. However, when this corrupt boss does his special attack that rains small fiery pellets, dodge to the left.
Angry Charge	Mechanic: Baraad will charge in a single direction. Optimal Reaction: Sprint or roll to the left to avoid the boss's attack in *Asterigos*.
