The developers at Team Asobi are going to be sweetening the pot by adding five speedrun levels to Astro Bot, for free, in the coming weeks. PlayStation's recent exclusive release immediately won the hearts of many of its players through its cheerful platforming style, engaging soundtrack, and adorable characters, many of which were cameos from other games. These free levels will offer new special Bots to rescue, additional unique platforming styles, and more hours for people to enjoy spending time in the exciting world of PlayStation.
Beginning on October 17, Team Asobi will be updating Astro Bot weekly with five additional speedrunning levels to the game. These levels will be automatically added as long as players have an active internet connection and the game is installed. There is no charge for this added content, other than the initial purchase of the game. Astro Bot has received many positive reviews already for the initial base game, which makes these free extras as surprising as they are exciting.

Our Take: One Of The Best Games Of 2024
New Content Could Make It Even Better
Astro Bot could easily become Game of the Year for 2024 due to its plethora of positive reviews and the hype that has surrounded the game since its release in early September. Its fun, and smooth, gameplay mixed with a fantastic soundtrack quickly made it shoot to the top of my list of favorite games for this year, as it did for many others. The only real downside that the game has is that it can feel too short, which is something these five updates remedy.
Seeing such a large series of added content so soon after release is surprising, but developers at Team Asobi state on the PlayStation Blog that the they kept receiving was that players wanted more. Hopefully, these five free content updates will help satiate that need for a while, and perhaps give Astro Bot an even greater chance to become Game of the Year.
