Atlanta season 3 is officially done filming and asks fans to be patient for the series' return. Henry stars in the series as Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles, an up-and-coming rapper from a low-income area of the titular Georgia capital who struggles with the newfound fame from his music and the attention it brings. Alfred must navigate through his rising career with the help of his struggling cousin/manager Earnest "Earn" Marks, Earn's on-again-off-again baby mama Van and Alfred's visionary right-hand man Darius.

The cast of Atlanta is led by Henry alongside creator/director/executive producer/primary writer Donald Glover, Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz. The series has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike since its debut on FX in 2016, garnering two Golden Globes and five Primetime Emmy Awards, with Glover becoming the first African-American to to win an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. FX currently has renewed Atlanta through season 4 and while production on the fourth chapter has been hampered by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a new update for the series is sure to create excitement for fans of the series.

While attending the world premiere for Marvel's Eternals, Henry spoke with SlashFilm to discuss the arrival of Atlanta season 3. Though sounding a little exasperated at the question of its return, Henry did confirm that season 3 has finished filming and is right around the corner, asking fans to be a little more patient. See what Henry said below:

"We're done. We finally got that season in the can, everyone please stop yelling. It is coming, I had to be a superhero first, okay?"

Henry's confirmation that filming is complete on Atlanta season 3 does fall in line with FX Chairman Jon Landgraf's reveal in August that the series will return in the first half of 2022. During the network's Television Critics Association , Landgraf had stated that post-production was currently underway and that filming had already begun on season 4 back in Atlanta. Though Henry's update may sound a bit frustrated with discussing the matter, it's understandable given production endured multiple delays between both Glover's busy schedule with his final Childish Gambino tour and Henry's work on Eternals.

While he may not offered any teases of what's to come from the next two seasons of Atlanta, Henry's assurance that season 3 is on the way should still come as exciting news for audiences who have eagerly waited for the past four years. With two months having ed since Landgraf confirmed that post-production was underway on the next chapter, the series' is certainly on track for an early 2022 premiere, potentially even the first quarter of the year. In the meantime, audiences can look forward to seeing Henry the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Eternals hits theaters on November 5.
