Back in April 2013, the pilot episode ofAttack on Titan burst onto screens in bone-crunching, blood-spattering glory, and the world of anime fandom would never be the same. Man-eating giants, political intrigue, teen angst and lots of gore - what’s not to love? Although there have been occasional rough patches (like a lot of Season 2 consisting of people hanging out in trees and delivering exposition), overall this anime is a killer combo of drama, action, horror and gorgeous world-building.
And 2020 promises to be a big year forAttack on Titanas well, with its fourth and final season slated for this fall. As we hold our collective breath for what will likely be a mind-blowing finale - and pray that it doesn’t turn out the wayGame of Thrones did - here are a few pieces of key merch we can use to keep the spirit of the Survey Corps alive.
1. Attack on Titan Metal Poster
One of the most epic and terrifying moments in all ofAttack on Titancomes in its first episode, when the gruesome Colossal Titan suddenly appears looming over Wall Maria. This classic poster basically sums up the whole series by taking that image and then combining it with a glimpse into the future - Eren Jaeger, now a full-fledged member of the Survey Corps, bristling with ODM gear and ready to slice some Titan neck. Then the show’s iconic Japanese title art finishes it all off, like frosting on top of a fiery cake.
- Finish: Metal
- Type: Poster
Inspired by Obama’s iconic “Hope” campaign poster from back in the day, this striking print has us pretty well convinced - Levi Ackerman for Prez 2020. Sure, he might not make many friends in the Oval Office, but you can bet he’ll get things done. With his fantastic hair, zero-BS policy and unreal kill count, Captain Levi may just be our best bet for Commander in Chief. So hang this piece up in your living room to ensure that any political disagreements between your guests are settled as soon as they sit on the couch.
- Size: 17.7" x 12.6"
- Brand: HopePoster
- Finish: Metal
Although many a cosplayer has their own homemade version, it’s pretty hard to find functional ODM gear (though someone out there has probably got a patent by now). That being said, even if you can’t actually buy the tech required to swing around trees like those steampunk Spider-Men of the Survey Corps, you can still look just as imposing as them with this officially licensed replica of their hooded capes. Perfect for making dramatic exits, looking pensive on the wind-whipped city walls, or spying on your enemies from the shrubbery.
- Size: One size fits most
- Type: Cape
- Color: Green
AoT’s layered story and complex characterization are definitely some of its strong points - but another major draw is, of course, the crazy brutal battles between human and Titan. Some of us naturally have no desire to get any closer to that action than watching it on screen - but if you’ve got an itch to go toe-to-toe with a Titan yourself, then Omega Force’s latest video game adaptation of the anime is sure to satisfy. At least until your local haunted corn maze gets the budget to introduce animatronic Titans.

For a dark-haired protagonist with a troubled past and penchant for mood swings, Harry Potter has got nothing on Eren Jaeger, truly the quintessential sad boi hero. This keychain miniature is an especially good choice for a good-luck charm, as it has him brandishing both blades and letting out a battle cry, fully ready to mess with anyone who messes with you. Nothing says “cute but crazy” like ashōnenin full berserker mode, and nothing says “shōnenin full berserker mode” like Eren Jaeger. Except maybe Mikasa Ackerman.
- Brand: Bandai
- Material: Resin
- Size: 1.25 inches

So how does ODM gear work anyway? Shouldn’t the g’s from swinging around that fast be enough to knock someone out? And what might a Titan’s internal anatomy look like? What’s with all the steam when one of them generates...? These and a ton of other questions are lurking just beneath the surface ofAttack on Titan, and whilesomeof them eventually get answered in the story, many don’t. If that kind of nerdy scientific inquiry keeps you up at night, then this handy little volume will scratch your itch.

One of the great frustrations of being an anime or manga fan is wishing that you yourself could create imagery that’s as incredibly dope as the stuff you see on the screen and the page. But, alas - while some might have that artistic gift, a lot of us aren’t so lucky. Thankfully, if you fall in the latter group, this coloring book allows you to play a part in bringing some ofAoT’sspectacle to life, with over 60 pages of actual s from Hajime Isayama’s manga and your imagination to fill them in.

Ok, but look at this thing; just look at it. It’s basically a Titan Snuggie, which is both one of the most bizarre and most brilliant merch mashups we’ve seen.Sure, exposed bones and musculature might not seem like the most cuddly of looks - but actually that’s perfect for a blanket built for one. When Season 4 drops, you can curl up on the couch in this number and watch it all go down, confident that no one will disturb you for fear of your stone-crushing, steam-spewing wrath.

Not unlikeGame of Thrones, Attack on Titanfeatures some really cool branding in the form of ornate sigils that identify different groups within its fictional world. These classy green pint glasses immortalize all four of the armed divisions that - at least in theory - protect humanity both within and outside of the walls: the Survey Corps, Garrison, Military Police and the Training Corps, bless their li’l hearts. Whichever your favorite squad (and don’t everyone pick Survey Corps), you can now quite literally raise a glass to them with this handsome set.

This just might take the “cute but scary” prize amid all the various goodies on this list that fit that category. You probably wouldn’t expect the Colossal Titan to ever really look cute, but this patch pulls it off - big eyes, big head, little body. Boom. But those glaring eyes and puffs of steam also manage to preserve the “seething mass of raw muscle” vibe. So put this on a backpack or denim jacket, to a) look great and b) make people think twice about sneaking up on you from behind.
