Author Details

Casey Loving is a freelance comic book reporter for Screen Rant, reporting on stories and topics from the worlds of Marvel, DC and more. Casey currently attends Missouri State University, pursuing a degree in communications with a minor in film. Here, Casey serves as a section editor and podcast host for the school paper, The Standard.

Industry Focus

Casey considers the medium of comics one of his greatest interests in life, and it's something he engages with every day. Though he also loves Marvel comics and the Star Wars universe, he most frequently covers DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Damian Wayne and Nightwing in his writing for Screen Rant.

Favorite Media

The Avengers, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Suicide Squad, the Guardians trilogy and The Batman are, to him, perfect blends of the mediums of comics and film. Some of Casey's favorite comics are Tom King's Mister Miracle, Matt Fraction's Hawkeye and Jason Aaron's God Butcher Saga, while Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, The Thing, and Ms. Marvel are among his favorite heroes.
