Taya Riley is a writer for Screen Rant's Comics section. She was born in Missoula, Montana but grew-up in Oregon. Currently, she lives in Colorado where she is ​​​​​​​a full-time ​​​​​​​college ​​​​​​​student ​​​​​​​stuyding Computer ​​​​​​​Science. ​​​​​​​Comic ​​​​​​​books ​​​​​​​have ​​​​​​​been part ​​​​​​​of ​​​​​​​her ​​​​​​​life ​​​​​​​since ​​​​​​​middle ​​​​​​​school ​​​​​​​when ​​​​​​​she ​​​​​​​first ​​​​​​​read Spider-Man ​​​​​​​comics. And ​​​​​​​now, ​​​​​​​she ​​​​​​​even ​​​​​​​has ​​​​​​​a ​​​​​​​dog ​​​​​​​who ​​​​​​​is named ​​​​​​​after Cassandra Cain.

Industry Focus

Within the comics industry, Taya loves to write about both Marvel and DC. Some of her favorite Marvel topics include spider-people and any comics from Earth-2099. As far as DC, she loves to talk about Robins (past or present), the Titans and Teen Titans, Superman (both Jonathan Kent and Clark Kent), as well as Green Arrow, Speedy, and Arsenal. Taya also enjoy discussing lesser-known characters such as Mortigan Goth, Djinn, and Klarion.

Favorite Media

As a lover of comics, Taya will read almost any comic once. However, she definitely has some favorite series. Some of her favorite Marvel series include Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man/Deadpool, Mortigan Goth: Immortalis, Silk, and Ghost-Spider. From DC, she loves Arsenal, any Green Arrow comics, Robin (2021), Teen Titans (1966-1978), and Superman: Son of Kal-El.
