Avatar: Seven Havens promises to introduce a new generation of the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, including an Avatar whose life will take place after Korra's. By the point of Avatar: Seven Havens, the events of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series will likely have taken place hundreds of years ago, much longer even than the twenty years it's been in the real world since the show first aired.

While the lives of Aang and his friends might feel like distant history to the characters of Avatar: Seven Havens, there's no doubt that it should be an important history, as Aang's later greatest deeds, including things like the formation of Republic City. While each Avatar up to this point has done incredible things, Aang's time as the Avatar has had a particularly tremendous impact on the world.

The Premise Of Avatar: Seven Havens Risks Disrupting Aang's Legacy From The Last Airbender

The Avatar's New Legacy As A Destroyer Might Mean Aang's Deeds Are Being Forgotten

While not much information has been released about Avatar: Seven Havens at this point, we do know a little bit about the basic premise. One of the major details that we do know is that in this new time period, the Avatar is considered the destroyer of humanity rather than its savior. The labeling of the Avatar as a destroyer risks ruining Korra's legacy, but it also could mean that Aang's legacy is being forgotten.

Part of what makes the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender so interesting is the way that it connects the different generations of characters.

This new angle for the Avatar could be an exciting twist on the premise of the past two shows, but it also signals that Avatar: Seven Havens will have to be careful. Part of what makes the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender so interesting is the way that it connects the different generations of characters. The Legend of Korra's cameos by Aang's friends and its occasional reveal of details about their adult lives are interesting Easter eggs for fans of the original series, but they're also ways to tie the shows together.

These moments show the incredible impact that's been made by the Gaang, and it would be great to see that carry over to the new show. Aang and his friends should likely be considered legendary historical figures by this point, and it would be unfortunate if the state of the world in the time of Avatar: Seven Havens were to erase all the good they accomplished.

Regardless of how Avatar: Seven Havens chooses to acknowledge Aang and the new Avatar's other predecessors, the new Avatar's own life and choices could do credit to Aang's. One Avatar: The Last Airbender theory suggests that Avatar: Seven Havens' Avatar could have a lot in common with Aang. Even if the state of the world has changed enough that Aang's life has become a distant memory, by fighting for her own reputation, the new Avatar will also be fighting for the reputations of Aang and all of the other Avatars who came before.
