Marvel Studios will surely bring back the currently dead heroes in Avengers: Infinity War's ending wasn't spoiled, and it looks like Marvel is trying a similar trick when it comes to which characters will be making an appearance in Avengers 4.
Infinity War's cliffhanger ending saw Thanos succeed in collecting all six Infinity Stones and snap his fingers, wiping half of reality out of existence - including a bunch of fan-favorite heroes. Of course, most if not all of these are expected to return, and thanks to set photos, movies and even confirmation from some of the cast themselves, it's already clear a grand reunion is on the cards for Avengers 4.

While we don't know whether the snap will be undone or rewritten, it's clear the effects of Thanos' attack will have proven to be temporary by the end of Avengers 4 (and, besides, many long-dead characters can still appear given that the film is expected to dabble in time travel). With that established, here's a rundown of all the dead characters from Avengers: Infinity War who are confirmed to appear in the still-untitled Marvel blockbuster.
Gamora (Either By Resurrection Or Time Travel)
One hero whose demise differs from the majority of deaths in Avengers: Infinity War was Gamora's, with Thanos sacrificing her to attain the Soul Stone. However, the favorite daughter is due to make a return. Zoe Saldana stated that she'll be back to Gamora makeup.
Gamora is believed to be trapped in the Soul World after being killed, as teased in Infinity War's weirdest sequence, although Saldana's return doesn't have to mean resurrection: based on her costume in other photos, it could be all part of Avengers 4's time travel to the events of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Spider-Man
Obviously, Peter Parker is expected to eventually make a comeback in Avengers 4 given that his next solo adventure, April 2017.

Loki (Via Time Travel At The Very Least)
Thanos promised "no resurrections this time" when strangling Loki, but when has the God of Mischief ever followed the rules? Whether that death sticks or not is up for debate - given that Tom Hiddleston is set to star is a Loki streaming series for Disney, it's been speculated that he will indeed come back to life - but that doesn't bar Loki from having a role to play in Avengers 4.

As revealed in set photos, the film will revisit the The Avengers, with a mix of old and new heroes once again taking down Loki. The images showed Hiddleston as a captured Loki along with a stunt-double, suggesting an interesting action scene.
Scarlet Witch & Vision
Scarlet Witch is another MCU hero who is headlining a TV series on the Disney streaming service, one that is rumored to also feature Vision. While there's some room to explore their relationship in the period between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, it would be a lot less restrictive for the show to be set after Avengers 4.
And it looks like both will indeed be resurrected. Paul Bettany already confirmed his return. Quite how Vision comes back, given he was dead before the snap, will hinge on both the importance of the Mind Stone and time travel.
Bucky Barnes & Falcon
Sebastian Stan has let it slip a few times that he'll reprise his role as Bucky Barnes aka White Wolf in Avengers 4: in 2017, long before Infinity War released, he talked about key scene in the film that will, apparently, feature everybody. Anthony Mackie, meanwhile, posted a photo of himself on the set of Avengers 4 in late 2017, which seems to save him too.

That both Falcon and Bucky would live makes a lot of sense. One of them is expected to replace Steve Rogers as Captain America, and the pair is together set to have their own Disney streaming TV series.

Nick Fury (As Spoiled By Sebastian Stan)
Aside from doubling down on the idea that he'll be part of Avengers 4, Stan's comments earlier this year also confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as former S.H.I.E.L.D. director, Nick Fury. Not that anyone doubted that he'll be back; despite being dusted in back in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Hank Pym & Janet van Dyne (As Also Spoiled By Sebastian Stan)
ing Jackson in the pool of actors Stan name-dropped while describing one pivotal scene for Avengers 4 are Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer. The original Ant-Man and the Wasp in the MCU, married couple Dr. Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne were the pioneers of the technology that paved an easier way to explore the Quantum Realm (which is expected to be key in helping the surviving Avengers defeat Thanos). Presumably, the duo will be brought back in a similar manner to the other snap victims.

's mid-credits scene, it makes sense why she would have a very limited screen time.
A few months later, the actress shared brand new details with regard to her appearance in Avengers 4, teasing the possibility of the Wasp sharing a scene with Captain Marvel, again teasing her survival.
Drax, Mantis, & Star-Lord
Considering that was supposed to be set after the events of Avengers 4, it's safe to say that the perished cosmic heroes would also eventually be back to Rocket. This means Drax, Mantis, and Star-Lord were expected to be brought back to life in Avengers 4.
This has since been confirmed by the actors. Amidst the James Gunn controversy, Letitia Wright (Shuri) who let it slip that she might have shared the screen with Chris Pratt.

There are more characters that are sure to return from the dead in Avengers 4 than those listed here - Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Groot all have sequels in the pipeline, after all - but, so far, Marvel's been able to keep explicit evidence of this a secret. However, with six months still to go, there's plenty of time for Sebastian Stan to accidentally reveal all that.
