Avengers 4 BTS Photo Seemingly Confirms Pepper Potts' Rescue Armor

A recently surfaced BTS image from featured her in a mo-cap suit.

The result of this tease by Paltrow led many to believe that she would be suiting up in Avengers 4 in some capacity. There is precedence for this in the comics, when Pepper gets an Iron Man suit of her own known as Rescue. This theory gained extra traction recently when some toy designs appeared to show a new, purple Iron Man armor for a female character.

Thanks to the Instagram kpow_ok, it looks to be confirmed that this is Pepper's Rescue armor. It is unknown where the image originates from (as Paltrow did not post it), but the revealed an image of Paltrow standing in front of a green screen with the purple and silver Rescue armor on. Her face is uncovered, but the suit's details are revealed with this image. And, unless this is an elaborate and well-done photoshop job, this looks to be confirmation that fans will see Pepper Potts suit up in Avengers 4.

Pepper has suited up briefly in a prior MCU film, so this won't be her first time wearing an Iron Man suit. She previously gained control of the Mark 42 armor in Iron Man 3. We haven't seen much of Pepper since, only in small roles in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War, so her suiting up in this capacity in Avengers 4 is a major nextstep for her.

The question that will now rise to the minds of fans is why Pepper is suiting up - and how? A line from Infinity War was previously misunderstood that led many to believe time travel nature of the movie's plot, the Rescue version of Pepper could be part of some alternate timeline that is created. Hopefully, Pepper does get a chance to suit up in the regular timeline and maybe even s in on the fight. However it goes down, it looks like we can expect Pepper to wear the Rescue armor in Avengers 4.
