For fans worried the Avenging Archer won't fit into the cosmic chaos of Clint Barton will become Ronin in the movie. But given the reasons why Hawkeye changed his look and name in the comics, the reasons for Ronin emerging likely won't be pleasant.
Avengers 4. It seems, however, that the opposite may be the case.

South China Morning Post (via CBR) spoke with Jeremy Renner about Hawkeye's role in Avengers: Infinity War and promised the character will get his due. Though this doesn't rule out whether he (or his family) will die in the film, it at least indicates Barton's story will be an engaging one.
“We’re doing a lot of really wondrous things that I’ve always wanted to do with this character. I think everyone will be very pleased when they find out what happens.”
It's easy to read into Renner's comments as confirmation of just about any theory that's been floated regarding Hawkeye so far, but all we really know is the actor is please with his part. We also know Hawkeye will return for Avengers 4. What happens in between, however, is up in the air. And when it comes to whether Renner will suit up as Ronin, fans may not want to hold their breath.
“I can’t get into the theories. I know [Ronin] is in the comics, but otherwise I don’t really know anything about that stuff.”
Taking Renner at face value, he seems aware of Ronin theories and the character's place in the comics but indicates no version of an adaptation will take place. While he could certainly be putting up a smokescreen, it's possible Ronin simply won't factor into things and Barton will get a new costume like he has in every film so far. The other option, of course, is that Ronin will be used as a blueprint for Hawkeye's arc in the next two Avengers movies.
The MCU has often used comic stories and events as foundations for new plots within the cinematic universe. Hawkeye in the movies is quite different from the comics and any nods to House of M will necessarily have to be more allusion than adaptation. Given that, we could see some type of tragedy befall Hawkeye, thus causing him to revamp his look and approach without taking the name Ronin or wearing a similar costume to the character. In that way, Barton gets his dramatic arc while Avengers: Infinity War gets to carve its own path.
