The Marvel Cinematic Universe has united more superheroes onscreen in live-action than any franchise ever has before, with dozens of classic comics heroes ing the Avengers, with no signs of their ranks shrinking any time soon.
While most of the Avengers have forged strong bonds in the midst of their superheroic endeavors, there still remain several pairings that fans have yet to see onscreen. As the MCU presses forward into Phase 4 and beyond, there are some Avengers that fans want to see finally interact onscreen.
Scarlet Witch And Spider-Man
Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man are two superheroes that are set to inherit the MCU as the next generation begins to take the reins of the Avengers. While the two have been in the same film together on three separate occasions, and even both fought in the Berlin airport battle in Civil War, Peter and Wanda have yet to actually share the screen.
7 Characters That Could Make Up The MCU's Illuminati (Earth-616)
At first glance, Wanda and Peter might not have much in common with one another. After all, Wanda is one of the most powerful beings on the planet and Peter is simply the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Nevertheless, these two Avengers have both lost everything in recent months and, after attempting to rewrite reality to fit their needs, have learned valuable lessons about grief and pain. Indeed, their storylines may converge as they each realize that the best way to get used to loss is to accept it.
Wasp And Nebula
Hope van Dyne is one of the newest of the Avengers, who has only teamed up with the group in the final battle of Endgame. Because of her newness on the team, she still has several of the lineup that she has yet to meet. Despite both participating in the all-female charge during the Battle of Earth, Hope and Nebula have yet to interact with one another in the MCU.
Given that Hope and Nebula are two of the newest of the team from the viewers' standpoint, the two seem likely to cross paths at some point or another. In addition, their respective issues with their own fathers could prove to be a valuable similarity between them, though, ittedly, Hope's father is nowhere near as bad as Nebula's was.
Starlord And Ant-Man
When the Guardians inevitably return to Earth sometime in the MCU's future, they will still have plenty of catching up to do regarding the various new of the Avengers. While Starlord has been an associate of the Avengers since Infinity War, his path has yet to cross with Scott Lang, Ant-Man, who is a frequent member of the team's ranks.
Lang and Quill both happen to be two of the funniest characters in the MCU, which would signify an absolutely delightful relationship between the two should they ever forge a friendship as fellow Avengers. Such an interaction would also prove gratifying to fans of Parks and Recreation, as Bobby Newport and Andy Dwyer finally reunite onscreen.
Bucky And Wong
James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, otherwise known as the Winter Soldier, has interacted with very few Avengers outside of Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson. As such, his relationships with the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj are virtually nonexistent, especially with the current Sorcerer Supreme, Wong.
While Bucky and Wong don't have many life experiences in common, both act as the stubborn and sarcastic secondary heroes to their respective partners. Both seem to take it upon themselves to keep other heroes in line, especially those whom they consider their friends. As such, future interactions between Bucky and Wong could prove to be quite fun for fans to watch.
Vision And Doctor Strange
The original Vision may be deceased but, as the end of WandaVision implies, there remains an alternate version of the synthezoid on the loose, presumably with all the memories of his late counterpart. While no Avengers are yet aware of this duplicate Vision, there is one sorcerer in particular that might be interested in tracking down such a close associate of Wanda Maximoff.
After the events of Multiverse of Madness, there is no doubt that Stephen Strange will be looking to better understand the mind of Wanda Maximoff. There is perhaps no better entity to look to for such a quest than the consciousness of her former lover, who may provide Stephen the answers he seeks about his onetime friend turned enemy.
Kate Bishop And Ms. Marvel
The heroes of the MCU are beginning to skew younger Hawkeye, and newcomer Ms. Marvel, who will be portrayed by newcomer Iman Vellani in the character's self-titled series later this month.
Kate and Kamala are two of the MCU's new heroes with the most promise in of leading the franchise. While audiences have yet to be fully introduced to Kamala Khan, the parallels between herself and Kate Bishop are already evident, as both idolize and model themselves after their favorite superheroes, eventually growing up to be partners with those very Avengers.
Captain America And Shang-Chi
Shang-Chi is one of the best Avengers introduced in Phase 4, and one of the few new superheroes since Endgame to be officially instated as a member of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. While he has ed the Avengers' ranks, the recent retirement of Steve Rogers means that the two honorable heroes have not yet met, though this does not rule out their potential future interactions.
Despite Steve Rogers apparently retiring from the superhero game, along with Chris Evans' departure from the MCU, it may seem as though the original Captain America and Shang-Chi may never meet. However, nothing is ever impossible in the MCU. Should Cap ever return, there is no doubt that Shang-Chi would take his first opportunity to geek out in the original Avenger's presence.
Captain Marvel And Falcon (Captain America)
The MCU is paving the way for new heroes to take the place of those who have retired or fallen along the way. As such, characters like Captain Marvel and Sam Wilson have been set up to take the lead of the Avengers in the future. While Danvers, who is among the strongest of the Avengers, and Wilson, who is the new Captain America, are both pivotal to the team, neither yet seems intimately aware of the other's existence.
The eventual meeting of the two Captains within the Avengers seems inevitable, as they are two of the most promising individuals to lead the team in the future. Whether their relationship will be somewhat combative, as Tony and Steve's was, or more constructive remains to be seen, though fans are certainly interested to see how such a relationship will turn out.
Hawkeye And Doctor Strange
While it remains yet unclear where Doctor Strange's character will be taken after the explosive implications of the end of Multiverse Of Madness, it is assumed that he will continue to have dealings with the Avengers in the near future, perhaps including the only active member of the original team whom the Master of the Mystic Arts has not yet met.
Despite never meeting the man, Hawkeye recently got a shoutout from the sorcerer in Multiverse of Madness, when Strange commented to Wanda Maximoff that the "archer with a mohawk" wouldn't be of much use to him. After such a comment, Clint must get his chance to prove Strange's assertions about his usefulness wrong.
Spider-Man And Thor
Despite being one of the founding of the Avengers, Thor has had few dealings with any of the newer of the team, with the exceptions of Doctor Strange and the Guardians. As such, certain other important heroes, such as Spider-Man, have yet to make with the god of thunder.
Thor and Spider-Man are two of the most delightful Avengers to watch onscreen, which makes it quite the conundrum that they have never met therein. Merely imagining Peter's reaction to meeting a Norse god is enough to warrant such a meeting, though the odds of such an occurrence seem ever slighter as Thor continues to spend time away from Earth.
