Years after the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga kicked off, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty can answer some of its biggest questions. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Destin Cretton, Marvel Studios' next Avengers film isn't coming until 2025. It may still be a while before it releases, but Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is already expected to address lingering mysteries in the Multiverse Saga.
After the Infinity Saga, MCU Phase 4 functioned as the transitional period for the franchise as it started to establish its next storytelling chapter. With Phase 5, Marvel Studios is delving deeper into narratives and concepts that are going ot be pivotal in the Multiverse Saga's ultimate culmination. That being said, it has also created some questions about the universe's overall state after the battle against Thanos. Luckily, the fight against Kang the Conqueror, on the other hand, can clarify some of the ongoing confusion.
10 Where Was Kang During The Infinity Saga?
Specific plot details for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty are still scant at the moment. That being said, the title makes it clear that the Multiverse Saga's big bad — Kang the Conqueror, is going to be the central player in the film. As it lays the groundwork for the villain's big battle with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty can also reveal where Kang the Conqueror was during the Infinity Saga. According to Loki, He Who Remains and his many other variants have been a silent player in the MCU long before he made his physical debut.
9 What The Council Of Kangs’ Plan Is?
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania introduced Kang the Conqueror and establishes his ties to Janet van Dyne. However, while Team Ant-Man was able to finally stop him from his nefarious plans after escaping the Quantum Realm, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania post-credits scene revealed a bigger problem for the Avengers as the Council of Kangs assembled for their course of action. It's still unclear what exactly their goal is and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty can fully unveil it.
8 Who Are The New Avengers?
On the heels of Iron Man and Black Widow's death, not to mention Captain America's retirement, it remains unclear who are active of the Avengers in the Multiverse Saga. There's barely any reference to the team's existence thus far, which makes this mystery more intriguing. While fans will have to wait a while longer for the debut of Multiverse Saga's official Avengers team since Phase 5 won't have any Avengers film, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is going to properly introduce them.
7 What Happened To Doctor Strange?
The end of the Infinity Saga set up Doctor Strange to be one of the faces of the MCU moving forward. Aside from appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, however, he has been largely absent in the Multiverse Saga. Considering the fact that he is one of the few heroes who have first-hand knowledge about how the multiverse works, one would think that he would be front and center in Marvel Studios' current narrative. He doesn't have any confirmed appearances thus far, but there's no doubt that he will be involved in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty where he can reveal what he has been up to.
6 What’s Happening With Stark Industries?
Iron Man's death in Avengers: Endgame marked the end of the Infinity Saga for the MCU. He was survived by his family, including Pepper Potts who is running Stark Industries. Considering how influential the organization has been since its day under Howard Stark, it's odd that it feels non-existent in the Multiverse Saga. As the new Avengers gear up for their battle against Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Earth's Mightiest Heroes will have an all-hands-on-deck approach to the matter, which means that they may need the help of Stark Industries again.
5 What Happened To Steve Rogers?
Marvel Studios has been mum about Steve Rogers' fate at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Every time their storytelling comes close to providing definitive answers. Sam Wilson has already claimed his rightful role as the new Captain America, but the mystery persists about what happened to his predecessor after he handed his chosen successor the iconic shield. As the new Earth's Mightiest Heroes roster assembles in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, discussing Rogers' fate is almost inevitable, especially with Wilson taking over the role.
4 What Happened To The Avengers HQ?
Avengers: Endgame's final battle against Thanos took place in the Avengers HQ in Upstate New York. After the massive battle, the whole facility was destroyed, and with Tony Stark dead, it's curious what happened to it. No hero has been back there since the Infinity Saga. The new Avengers will inevitably need a headquarters in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. If they can't go back to their old one, there needs to be an explanation for why.
3 Do Thor, Hawkeye, and Hulk Keep In Touch?
At the end of the Infinity Saga, only three original Avengers are left in the MCU. While the Multiverse Saga Phase 4 gave Hulk, Thor, and Hawkeye their respective successors, they remain active in the franchise. Given this, there's an expectation that they will be involved in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. As they reunite on-screen, the film can also reveal if they have been keeping tabs on each other after they parted ways after Infinity Saga.
2 Did The Remaining Avengers Know About The Emergence?
Marvel Studios debuted a new superhero team in Chloé Zhao's Eternals. The titular characters were created by the Celestials and sent to Earth centuries ago to protect human beings against the Deviants. They didn't get involved in the fight against Thanos because they were instructed to not meddle unless it involved their mission. In the 2021 film, the Emergence finally threatened to happen, with the birth of Tiamut almost destroying Earth. Despite it, there was no response from any of the Avengers. Given this, it's almost imperative that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty references the incident at the very least as the Eternals officially team up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
1 How Did No Way Home’s Ending Impact Earth
After his secret superhero identity was exposed, Peter Parker reached out to Doctor Strange for help in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The original spell backfired, creating a new problem for the web-slinger. However, thanks to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's version of the Marvel hero, he was able to fix the crisis, but not without a massive sacrifice, essentially stripping him of his identity as the wall-crawler and his human alter-ego. Spider-Man: No Way Home only showed the aftermath of the spell from Peter's perspective. As he expectedly s the fight in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, however, Marvel Studios can reveal how that looks for the rest of the universe.
