One of the best parts of Avowed's unique weapons include three unique arquebuses (long-range rifles) and four unique pistols. The limited number of unique pistols and arquebuses makes each one of them extremely valuable and much more powerful than your run-of-the-mill common guns, and therefore are well worth your time tracking down.
Some unique guns are found at merchants across the Living Lands, while the unique Moonstrike arquebus requires a Starmetal fragment in Avowed and can only be crafted once you reach the final major region: Galawain's Tusks. Like all unique weapons, each unique gun has a specialized item ability and an enchantment that can be upgraded permanently to one of two improved options. These guns are perfect for any kind of marksman or gunslinger build in Avowed, and can be enhanced further with the right abilities and gear.
Quick Links
1 The Disappointer: A Gun That Lives Up To Its Name
Purchased From "Cutty" Colen In Hightown
The Disappointer is the earliest available unique pistol in Avowed, and is pretty underwhelming — at least at first. This pistol can be purchased from a merchant in Hightown, Paradis, who goes by the name Kerdhead "Curry" Cullen. He is located at the Extremely Legal Goods shop in the westernmost part of Hightown in Philosopher's Alley, which, if it wasn't obvious, is a black market shop. You can actually get Curry to pay you off with a bribe if you engage in dialogue, though it isn't much. The Disappointer can be purchased for 3,600 skeyt at fine quality,

Avowed: Best Parkour Build Guide (Abilities, Attributes, & Items)
Parkour in Avowed is a core skill, but it can also be enhanced for an incredibly powerful build featuring abilities like Power Jump and Power Slide.
It doesn't initially seem like that great of an investment — The Disappointer gets its name from its terrible starting enchantment ("Terrible", which gives the gun a -10% Damage penalty with no additional benefit). However, this is slightly deceptive as the enchantment can be upgraded to either Tender Love and Care, which reverses that and provides +10% Damage, or Shared Misery, which allows Power Attacks to inflict all nearby enemies with a -10% damage debuff for 15 seconds. The Disappointer's ive ability, Bleeding Lash, causes hits to deal +10% bonus Bleed damage as well.
2 Caeroc's Pride: A Spell-Casting Prize Pistol
Dropped By Tempestuous Luandi In Ondra's Reach
The next unique pistol, also available in Dawnshore, bounty targets in Avowed, and can be a tough customer if you haven't adequately upgraded your gear. The challenge is worth it though, as you won't find a better pistol for a while, and this one is particularly good for any type of build incorporating Shock or elemental damage. Caeroc's Pride's ive is Distant Thunder, which lets power attacks deal high shock accumulation.
Caeroc's Pride is an excellent addition to a Wizard build with the Wrath of the Storm enchantment upgrade.
Distant Thunder is optimized for single-target Shock accumulation, but this can be upgraded to have more of an AoE (area of effect) with the Thunder's Fall enchantment, which allows power attacks to deal high shock accumulation to all nearby enemies instead. Once an enemy is Shocked, they spread Shock accumulation and Stun to nearby enemies. Alternatively, the Wrath of the Storm enchantment upgrade gives you a 25% chance to cast Crackling Bolt, a level 5 Wizard spell that shoots a bolt of lightning and bounces between multiple enemies and the environment, dealing high Shock and Stun.
3 One Last Trick: A Ricochet Machine
Rewarded For Helping The Rangers In Emerald Stair
kill or spare Ranger Dorso (you'll probably want to kill her). In most cases, you'll end up receiving the One Last Trick arquebus as a reward. This rifle has a +20% reload speed and an incredible ricochet effect.

I Wanted To Love Avowed’s Guns, But I Made The Terrible Mistake Of Using Them
Avowed's guns can be incredibly fun to use, but I rarely encounter situations that actually make the game's long-range combat exciting.
The Ricochet enchantment on One Last Trick enables bullets to bounce and hit an additional enemy, which can be upgraded to Trick Shot that causes bullets to bounce and hit two additional enemies. The ricochet ability is one-of-a-kind, making this arquebus useful for any sort of long-ranged sniper build. The Incendiary Charge enchantment, on the other hand, is better if you want to deal some extra damage, but will affect fewer targets. Bullets with this enchantment deal low Fire accumulation and bounce to one additional enemy.
4 Fair Play: Vengeance Is A Virtue
Purchased From Kampeki In Thirdborn
Fair Play won't be available until you've reached Thirdborn in the Shatterscarp region. Fortunately, you'll be able to purchase this pistol directly from the Thirdborn merchant, Kampeki, who is just to the right of the main entrance to Thirdborn. Fair Play is an interesting pistol in that it is most effective against enemies that have just downed one of your companions. The Vengeful Shot ive taunts enemies that incapacitate a companion, and you gain +100% critical hit chance against them as well.

Avowed: 10 Best Unique Weapons For Rangers
The 10 best unique weapons in Avowed for Rangers include Sheathed in Summer, Moonstrike, Last Light of Day, and the Umbral Needle.
Fair Play can be used to boost defense. Killing an enemy with it restores 5% of your maximum health and 25% of your maximum stamina, which can be further enhanced to 10% and 50% (respectively) with the Turnabout enchantment upgrade. However, it has an awesome alternative enchantment upgrade, Equal Footing, that pulls enemies toward you into melee range. This feature is really useful in melee builds and for short-range encounters, and is great when paired with a heavy two-handed secondary loadout, bringing enemies in close and destroying them with a power attack.
5 Izmalt's Meteoric Apparatus: A Real Blast
The Closest Thing To A Shotgun You're Going To Get
Izmalt's Meteoric Apparatus is a unique arquebus that can also be purchased from Kampeki in Thirdborn if you have the cash. This arquebus is designed for close-range combat, and is the closest thing to a shotgun you're likely to find. Its Concussive Grudge ive feature allows short-range power attacks to deal high Stun and knocks enemies back. Izmalt is the best game in town when it comes to close-range arquebus options; while other arquebuses can certainly be used at short range, nothing compares to seeing your targets go flying after you blast them with a power attack to the face.

10 Hardest Enemies In Avowed, Ranked By Difficulty
There are many enemies in Avowed that can really put up a fight, and here they are ranked on how difficult it is for any Envoy to take them down.
The Meteoric Burst enchantment on Izmalt deals low Fire accumulation to nearby enemies, which can be further enhanced with the Meteoric Devastation enchantment upgrade that raises it to moderate Fire accumulation. Alternatively, the Lingering Inferno enchantment upgrade creates a lingering area of effect when you kill an enemy that deals high Fire Accumulation to all enemies in range. This is by far the best option for arquebuses for any Kith enemies susceptible to Fire damage, and will be incredibly useful for the later stages of the game, depending on your build.
6 Magic Mistol: Pew! Pew! Pew!
Track It Down In The Ekidan Workshop
The Magic Mistol pistol can be located in the Galawain's Tusks region of Avowed, in the far west reaches of the area. Hidden in the Slumbering Fields, you'll eventually come across the Ekidan Workshop, and after some deep exploration, you can find Magic Mistol in a chest behind a wooden barricade. The Magic Mistol is among the most unique weapons in Avowed, and as an homage to its namesake, Magic Mistol bullets are guaranteed to hit a target. The Foe-Seeker ability forces bullets to seek out enemies, so you won't have to worry much about aiming with this pistol.
More importantly, this pistol's enchantments are superb. The basic enchantment, Infused Shot, lets power attacks deal very high Stun, and since they are guaranteed to hit, combo attack openings will be abundant. This can be upgraded to deal AoE Stun with Unstable Shot, which deals moderate Stun to all surrounding enemies in range. Or, if you're looking to blast enemies at a quicker rate, Pistoleer's Grace gives you +50% Reload Speed for 10 seconds after killing an enemy. Whichever upgrade you choose, the Magic Mistol is a ton of fun and will take any Gunslinger build to the next level.
7 Heavenstrike: The Starmetal Arquebus
Moonstrike Can Be Upgraded To Heavenstrike With A Starmetal Fragment
Moonstrike can be crafted by Forgemaster Dela at Solace Keep in Galawain's Tusks, using one of the four Fragments of Starmetal found in each region. The Moonstrike arquebus can be further upgraded with another Starmetal Fragment to the Heavenstrike, which increases the base stats to deal more damage and Stun, but this upgrade doesn't affect the enchantment options at all. Heavenstrike is by far the most powerful arquebus in the game, with elemental effects that will slow enemies down substantially with its ive feature, Freezing Lash, dealing bonus Frost damage on hits.

Every Starmetal Fragment Location In Avowed (Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, Galawain's Tusks)
Avowed's Starmetal can be used to create some powerful Unique weapons. Here is where to find every fragment, and what you'll need to do to get them.
The Heavenstrike basic enchantment, Ondra's Scorn, further enhances this Frost effect, causing power attacks to deal moderate Frost accumulation to nearby enemies. This can be upgraded to high accumulation with Ondra's Anger, or alternatively, you can utilize the Lunar Champion enchantment upgrade as a defensive tactic, where killing an enemy gives you +5% Damage Reduction for 10 seconds. Heavenstrike is among the best unique weapons available, and if you haven't tracked down all the Starmetal Fragments, it's a good idea to do so for this arquebus alone. Of all the guns in Avowed, Heavenstrike is hands-down the most versatile and powerful option.
