While fewer experiences can sur the experience of riding atop a legendary dragon in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, flying on a massive insectoid, such as the Azure Skitterfly, might be close for some. Of course, the bug Mounts of Dragonflight, like the Verdant Skitterfly, Azure Skitterfly, or Telix the Stormhorn, are far from mere, uncomely insects that players can ride. Each of these insectoids is beautifully crafted with a stunning design and vibrant colors. Likewise, the Azure Skitterfly features a bright blue body with a shiny exoskeleton that is sure to stand out in the Dragon Isles.

Unlocking the Azure Skitterfly Mount in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight requires adventurers to reach Renown Rank 25 with the Dragonscale Expedition faction. Once this prerequisite has been fulfilled, the Mount becomes purchasable at the Cataloger Jakes, a faction vendor located at the Dragonscale Basecamp. This requirement might sound simple, but reaching Renown 25 is not an easy task and will require some dedication and effort. Fortunately, the mandatory main campaign quests of the Dragon Isles should net players a good amount of "free" reputation for the Dragonscale Expedition faction by default.

Unlocking the Azure Skitterfly in WoW: Dragonflight

YouTuber Arhqirah recommends that WoW: Dragonflight players also complete side quests for the Dragonscale Expedition by accepting requests from the NPCs at the Dragonscale Basecamp and around The Waking Shores. These quests, including the Dungeon-related quests, can only be completed once but will reward participants with a generous amount of reputation to progress toward unlocking the Azure Skitterfly in Dragonflight.

On the other hand, Bounty quests in WoW for the Dragonscale Expedition can be completed multiple times throughout a week; completion of the Elite quests will always reward players with more reputation than the normal world quests. Doing exploration-based activities, such as searching for Expedition Scout Packs, artifacts, and treasures, is another excellent method of gradually increasing one's Renown Rank.

Once players have reached Renown Rank 25 with the Dragonscale Expedition, they will unlock Skitterflying, including clearance to buy the Azure Skitterfly from the faction vendor in WoW: Dragonflight. The following resources are required to make this purchase:
