Ahsoka Tano's arrival in Ahsoka's first live-action appearance is cause for excitement, there are wider implications of her arrival to consider. Having trained at the Jedi temple and fought in the Clone Wars, Ahsoka personally knew Yoda, so she may be the first person with a clue about the Baby Yoda mystery, even if she doesn't know what species he actually is.
By the Star Wars canon despite its widespread use, and Disney insists that's not his name actual name, meaning it wasn't used on-screen, but that could change thanks to Ahsoka.
Much like the fans, none of the heroes in The Mandalorian know anything about The Child. Their understanding of the Jedi and the Force is hazy at best, leaving them speechless during his remarkable feats. A 50-year-old child is highly uncommon, especially one that can lift an adult Mudhorn with a wave of its hand. Also, they are clueless as to where he came from and who or what he is. Bringing in Ahsoka to educate them will go a long way in solving the show's lingering mysteries. At the same time, just like the fans, Ahsoka's limited knowledge of Yoda's species could easily lead her to call The Child Baby Yoda herself.
Ahsoka's beginnings in the franchise are tied very closely to Master Yoda before she became Anakin Skywalker's padawan in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie. She and the Grand Master of the Jedi Order had many run-ins during the war, both good and bad. They worked together during The Gathering ceremony, where Younglings get to construct their first lightsaber. Not long after, he presided over her trial after accusations of her bombing the Jedi Temple came about. She understood him from more angles than most due to the range of interactions they had.
The first season of The Mandalorian created multiple places for Ahsoka to fit the narrative of season 2. Her inclusion will likely address The Child's Force abilities and possibly shed some light on the unexplained aspects of his personal life. Keeping in mind her connections to Yoda, she could give him a brand new name, one that came directly from the fans. Ahsoka's entrance into The Mandalorian's story presents the perfect opportunity to make Baby Yoda Star Wars canon.
