After completing the first three quests in the Thieves' Cloister in Babylon's Fall, players will need to defeat Bemus. Throughout the Thieves' Cloister, players will learn more about Lord Bemus, a religious figure that promises to cure true believers of their illnesses. However, upon reaching "The Temple of Bemus" quest, the Sentinels will learn about the nefarious circumstances of Bemus' healing abilities. Once the cutscene ends, the boss fight will begin.
As is the case with any quest in Babylon's Fall, defeating Bemus is much easier when playing with friends or other Sentinels. Other fighters can be added to the player's friends list, then the quest to defeat Bemus can be completed with Sentinels that are in the same HQ. Alternatively, players can choose Quick Match at the quest board and may randomly be paired up with others to complete this quest. Players can also attempt the fight alone, but it can be difficult to win without help.
Unlike Zenon, Babylon's Fall's first boss, Bemus doesn't fight alone. He has three units fighting alongside him, and he will periodically resurrect them after they're defeated. The easiest way to complete this fight is to defeat all three units, then focus on Bemus. After initially defeating them, the s will return one at a time, so it will make fighting Bemus a little easier when they're not all in the arena at once. If fighting with other Sentinels, it can be easy to quickly take out the units at the start of the fight.
Tips and Strategies for Defeating Bemus in Babylon's Fall
To make the fight with Bemus easier, players should take out the units at the beginning of this boss fight in Babylon's Fall starting with Saklas, then Samael, and Aariel. Saklas is a four-legged enemy, and its attacks are easily avoided. Samael is the flying unit that can shoot walls of electric orbs and create a small circle that will stun Sentinels inside it. Aariel is the strongest unit. This enemy can spin into a tornado swirling around the arena, slam down with a heavy attack, and create circular beams of electricity to shoot across the ground.
Bemus is actually fairly easy to fight without his minions. He will conjure vines or green orbs to trap Sentinels, and he has a few melee attacks to dodge. The worst attack Bemus uses is a wave of electric orbs that spread across the ground of the arena in a spiral pattern. When Bemus causes electric orbs to rain down instead, players can just stand close to him and they won't be hit. The most frustrating part about fighting Bemus is his constant warping to the other side of the arena, so players without ranged attacks will need to frequently chase him down.
The rewards in Babylon's Fall are always more abundant the first time a quest is completed. Players will receive gear that will increase their power level, but it may not be high enough to move on to the Volcanic Cloister. Repeating the boss fight with a higher power level will reward players with better gear each time, so if players are having trouble progressing, the Bemus fight is a good quest to repeat. Bemus is the second boss players will face in Babylon's Fall.
Babylon's Fall is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
