Bachelor Nation's summer series, Bachelor in Paradise, allows contestants from former seasons of its sister and brother shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, to date one another while vacationing on a beach in Mexico. Sometimes, couples will award one another roses at the end of each week just to make it to the next round, while others end up finding a partner they want to explore a relationship with.
Oftentimes, Paradise produces couples that are even more memorable than the winners of The Bachelor and Bachelorette. Additionally, viewers have a fun time watching two of their favorites coupling up, whether it be for long-lasting love or a short-lived drama-filled romance.
Jordan Kimball & Jenna Cooper
Season 5 of Paradise featured the blossoming romance between Jordan Kimball and Jenna Cooper, whose goofy personalities seemed to attract one another. Despite a few bumps in the road, they remained together and Jordan even got down on one knee at the end, a proposal that Jenna accepted.
On the reunion show, the pair announced their plans to wed in June of 2019, however, allegations came out accusing Jenna of cheating on Jordan. Jordan publicly denounced his relationship with her, and their engagement ended. It was later revealed that the texts that indicted Jenna were fabricated, and the cheating was merely a rumor. Still, the pair remains one of the most dramatic couples to grace Paradise.
Amanda Stanton & Josh Murray
After winning Andi Dorfman's final rose on Season 10 of The Bachelorette, Josh Murray hoped to find love in Paradise after he and Andi called it quits. While in Mexico, he found himself head over heels for the single mom from Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor.
Despite hearing cautionary tales from both Evan Bass and Nick Viall about Josh's behavior in his relationship with Andi, as detailed in her tell-all book, Amanda continuously offered up her rose to him. The couple got engaged at the end of the season, but ultimately split. Amanda ended up writing her own book where she echoed Andi's sentiments about Josh's controlling behavior.
Krystal Neilson & Chris Randone
Villains of their respective seasons, Krystal and Chris aka 'Glitter' and 'The Goose' ended up forming a relationship in the last couple weeks of Bachelor in Paradise Season 5. Their union was surprising, however, ended up being one of the strongest on the beach that Summer, despite doubts from viewers. After getting engaged in the finale, the two wed in a televised wedding featured on Season 6 of the show.
A little less than a year later, Chris and Krystal announced that they had separated, a split that did not seem to be mutual according to Chris. Their famous 'GlitterGoose' YouTube channel was no more, and Krystal entered a relationship with Miles Bowles, welcoming their first child in March 2021.
Kendall Long & Joe Ambaile
Kendall Long and 'Grocery Store' Joe Amabile were drawn to one another early on during Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. They weren't without their issues, Kendall's being long-term commitment and Joe's inability to confront her or his feelings. After deciding to leave Paradise going their separate ways, the two announced they had rekindled their love during the reunion show.
Post-show, Kendall ed Joe as he competed on Dancing with the Stars, even making it to the semi-finals. The two seemed to have a future together and plans to wed, even adopting a dog together. However, they ended up splitting in January 2020, allegedly due to wanting to live on different sides of the country.
Carly Waddell & Evan Bass
Carly Waddell did not reciprocate Evan Bass's feelings when he first confessed his love for her on Season 3 of Paradise. The two were not on the same page, but as time went on Carly eventually fell for Evan's goofy charm. When he proposed at the Final Rose Ceremony, she said yes, and they married the following season in Mexico.
Carly became a stepmother to Evan's three children from a previous relationship, and they welcomed daughter Bella and son Charlie together. In shocking Bachelor Nation news, the beloved couple revealed that they separated in November 2020, something neither has addressed in detail since the word broke.
Caelynn Miller-Keyes & Dean Unglert
Viewers were surprised when sparks flew for Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert on Season 6 of Paradise. Caelynn, trying to avoid ex-fling Black Horstmann at all costs, sought comfort in Dean, who wasn't sure if he was looking for a serious relationship. When he fled, Caelynn had a brief romance with Connor Saeli.
Realizing he made a mistake, Dean returned and Caelynn left Paradise with him. The two remain a couple today, even wearing matching bands on their ring fingers, though they claim they are not married. Recently, they've adopted a dog, Pappy, and moved in together.
Dylan Barbour & Hannah Godwin
Hannah Godwin found herself in a love triangle between herself, Blake Horstmann, and Dylan Barbour on Season 6. After briefly pursuing things with Blake, she decided to stick with Dylan, and the two were inseparable for the rest of their time in Mexico.
At the Final Rose Ceremony, Dylan proposed and Hannah accepted. Since then, they've had an engagement party celebrating their future nuptials, and have been working to design their dream home. These two are perhaps best known for how low maintenance and drama-free they are, and for being adorable on Instagram.
Kevin Wendt & Astrid Loch
Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt appeared to be a happy couple in it to win it on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise, however, when faced with the possibility of leaving Mexico engaged to each other, the pair thought it best to instead go their separate ways. Viewers were shocked, given that they seemed so in love.
Not long after their time on the show, the two reentered their relationship offscreen and got engaged in 2019. Their love story is a testament to 'if it's meant to be, it'll be', as they found their way back to each other after what seemed to be the end of their iconic relationship.
Raven Gates & Adam Gottschalk
Fans were heartbroken to see Raven Gates get her own heart broken when Nick Viall chose Vanessa Grimaldi over her on Season 21 of The Bachelor. The sweet southern belle was given another shot at love on Season 4 of Paradise, where she met Adam Gottschalk, a contestant from Rachel's Bachelorette season.
Though they didn't leave the beach engaged, the two did remain in a committed relationship. Despite being long-distance at first, finally married in April 2021.
Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert
Paradise's most notable success story comes in the form of Season 2 couple, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert. From the first night on the beach, the two only had eyes for each other, choosing to spend their televised vacation with one another. Come the Final Rose Ceremony, Tanner got down on one knee and Jade accepted his proposal. They wed in January of the following year.
Since their time on the show, they've come back to make guest appearances as mentors or hosts of dates for couples on newer seasons. As the Paradise couple blueprint, Jade and Tanner have often been asked to weigh in on recent contestants' relationships. They have also expanded their family, welcoming daughter Emmy in 2017, and sons Brooks and Reed in 2019 and 2020.
