On one of Peter Weber's ex-girlfriends giving him a vague warning about the Victoria.
Victoria has been a lightning rod for controversy all season long. It wasn't just her inability to communicate effectively with Peter. It was the pictures that came out, showing Victoria modeling for until an ex Merissa Pence told Peter to be careful with Victoria. He relayed what he had heard to Victoria on the front steps of her family's house, and she didn't react well. He never got to meet her family, and we never found out whether or not Victoria had broken up marriages or not.
For Victoria's part, she's denying having that type of reputation. When Chris Harrison questioned her about this, she categorically denied it. She claimed that being on The Bachelor was a learning experience. Earlier in the night, we saw Peter choose Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett over Victoria. It was not a surprising outcome, considering all the trials and tribulations Peter and Victoria had faced up to that point in their relationship.
In Victoria's defense, she didn't seem to be as hated by the other contestants as some of the women who were at the tell all. While there are certain actions that are indefensible, like the decision she made to model for at "White Lives Matter" campaign, there is also so much uncertainty around what she had or had not done in her personal life prior to going on The Bachelor.
The allegation that someone is known for breaking up marriages is a suspect one as well. Wouldn't the men she is involved with be more deserving of blame than she was in that situation? It is clear Victoria still has much to work on in order to be ready for marriage. But, honestly, it seemed like almost no one on this season was really prepared to get engaged. This is why it's so refreshing the show is headed in the right direction with The Bachelorette.
The Bachelor two-part finale airs Monday and Tuesday at 8pm EST on ABC.
