With 18 seasons and 18 different women gracing the titular role, The Bachelorette has a long history of beloved stars. Fans all have their favorites, and with season 19 coming up in the summer, many have restarted debates about who they hope the next bachelorette can live up to.
With so many different opinions to consider, Ranker is a great resource to use to get an unbiased picture of which stand out the most. The site uses voting to determine which of The Bachelorette's leading ladies is the most memorable for the most avid Bachelor Nation fans.
Jillian Harris (Season 5)
Kicking off this list by just sneaking into the top ten was season five star Jillian Harris. The first non-American to be chosen for the top billing — she's Canadian — Harris had a personality that was a great match for reality TV, hence why she has such a loyal fan base. She originally appeared on season 13 of The Bachelor before being given a reprise.
The bachelor she chose, Ed Swiderski, lasted only a year with her after the season concluded. Still, her fun and carefree personality led her to landing a hosting role on the show Love It or List It: Vancouver. It didn't work out with Ed, but she has since gotten married and had two kids with a new man while continuing to pursue her interior design ion.
Andi Dorfman (Season 10)
Andi made her Bachelor Nation debut in season 18 of The Bachelor. She quit during Week 9 after realizing her relationship on the show was not going to work out. She decided to give it another go on The Bachelorette and solidified her place in the hearts of viewers.
She was never afraid to stand up for herself and tell it how it is while also being hysterical while doing so. She was an endless supply of entertainment, and gave viewers one of The Bachelorette's more iconic scenes of cutting off Nick on finale night. Nick played the game like it was a science, making calculated decisions rather than following his heart, which rubbed some viewers the wrong way.
Ali Fedotowsky (Season 6)
Ali Fedotowsky was dealt a tough hand in her first appearance on season 14 of The Bachelor. She appeared on a season with Jake Pavelka, a controversial Bachelor who pulled off one of the biggest betrayals in show history and was quite rude to the girls at times, while also having to drop out during week six for her job. She made the most of her second chance, though.
She was an integral part to every memorable moment, and she seemed like she was having fun with her role of the Bachelorette. She didn't end up marrying anyone from the season, but she was an exemplary Bachelorette from Day 1, endearing herself to viewers and landing her a spot on Ranker's list.
Becca Kufrin (Season 14)
Becca Kufrin is another example of someone who got shafted in their first go-around on the series before getting a shot at redemption. She was the winner of season 22 of The Bachelor before the bachelor had a change of heart and retracted his proposal in one of the cringiest moments ever seen in the franchise.
She was able to get her proposal her second time around, getting engaged to and living with Garrett Yrigoyen for two years, but they ultimately split. Becca has remained involved in the Bachelor Nation community, as she hosts the Bachelor Happy Hour Podcast alongside season 18 star Michelle Young.
Trista Rehn (Season 1)
While a fountain of spinoff series have ed the Bachelor Nation universe, the first to get the green light was The Bachelorette, and Trista Rehn (now Stutter) was the first woman chosen to star. She was also the runner up on The Bachelor's inaugural season, choosing Ryan Sutter on her own season.
Trista is Dancing With The Stars, and was a great role model for future Bachelorettes to follow the first ever season.
DeAnna Pappas (Season 4)
Deanna Pappas earned notoriety on season 11 of The Bachelor before taking control on the fourth season of The Bachelorette. She was given a daunting task, entrusted with the responsibility of reviving the show after it took a three-year hiatus. Considering the show has now aired in every year since, she did her job.
Fans were already rooting for her after she made the final two in her first season, a season in which neither finalist was engaged to. This was her chance at redemption, and she did get her long overdue proposal from Jesse Csincsak. While the two had an extremely short engagement, seeing her help revive a dying series and do so with grace gained her plenty of fans.
Desiree Hartsock (Season 9)
Season 9 is regarded as one of the best seasons in The Bachelorette history, and Desiree Hartsock (now Siegfried) played a large role in that. After originally appearing on the 17th season of The Bachelor, she gained the empathy of viewers when she was chosen as the next Bachelorette. Fans rallied behind her when her heart was broken in the final stretch of the season after her top choice, Brooks Forester, decided to leave the show.
While she was devastated in the moment, she instead accepted Chris Siegfried's engagement, and the rest is history. They remain a couple and have even had two kids together. After the entire world was rooting for her happiness during her lowest moment, seeing her recover to thrive and be happy make her a legendary Bachelorette.
Emily Maynard (Season 8)
Emily Maynard has one of the most interesting paths of anyone who appeared in the Bachelor Nation franchise, as she got engaged twice. She initially said yes to Brad Womack on season 15 of The Bachelor, but after that romance flamed out, she got a shot at redemption as the sole Bachelorette on her own season. She quickly grew on viewers with her lovable dedication to her children.
She is the only women to appear on the show to have kids, and she did not lose sight of the priorities she set for herself before agreeing to come back. She moved filming so she could be closer to her kids, and made it known to her suitors that her kids were incredibly important. Her tragic backstory of being a widower looking for new love also gained her plenty of sympathy, so she was quite well liked.
Hannah Brown (Season 15)
Hannah Brown is from season 15 of The Bachelorette and season 23 of The Bachelor. She was a seemingly random pick as she hadn't been super memorable from her first run in the franchise, but she proved herself in her second go-round, and is currently the most popular Bachelorette on Instagram, with a massive following of 2.6 million.
Hannah started off as a soft-spoken, self-doubting model who wasn't too secure in herself, but viewers quickly rallied behind her as she grew as a person before fans eyes during her season. She challenged the guys treating her poorly and confronted the toxicity displayed by some of her suitors. While her choice of Jed Wyatt for her engagement didn't workout, seeing her become a strong, independent women who didn't need the validation of men was inspiring.
JoJo Fletcher (Season 12)
Topping the list Ranker's most beloved star of The Bachelorette of all time is JoJo Fletcher. This is also ed by her Instagram profile, which boats more than 2.5 million followers, narrowly coming in second behind Hannah for the most followed contestant. She was already popular when she came in second on season 20 of The Bachelor, but her story on The Bachelorette was something out of a storybook.
Jordan Davis was the first bachelor to introduce himself to JoJo, received her first impression rose, and really was her clear favorite for the entire season. While other seasons have been messier and filled with drama, fans loved JoJo and this season for the genuine connection she made with Jordan. The two remain married to this day, and fans have kept up with them on their new shows Cash Pad and Engaged With JoJo and Jordan.
