Back to the Future's Lorraine actor Lea Thompson revisits an iconic location from the movie in a cheeky new post. Premiered in 1985, Robert Zemeckis' classic follows Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) as he inadvertently time travels alongside eccentric scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) to 1955 and must ensure his parents get together after he alters key events. Thompson plays Lorraine, Marty's depressed, alcoholic mother whose life is changed for the better by Marty's antics.

Back To The Future: All 8 Timelines In The Movies Explained
Back to the Future's classic time travel trilogy has been delighting viewers for decades. Here's a breakdown of all eight timelines in the movies.
Back To The Future: What's Next For The Franchise?
Back To The Future Is Flourishing In Many Ways
As one of the most influential films of the '80s, Back to the Future spawned two sequels. Though a continuation of the first movie, the two sequels were not as well-received by critics. However, they were still successful at the box office. The third and final film, Back to the Future Part III, did better than the original sequel, which was criticized for its confusing and complicated storyline. As for a fourth Back to the Future, creators Zemeckis and Bob Gale are adamant about not approving a movie reboot.
Nevertheless, Back to the Future continued. CBS aired an animated television series between 1991 and 1992, following Doc's and Marty's adventures through numerous historical periods. To commemorate the movie's 30th anniversary in 2015, a direct-to-DVD short film was released, Doc Brown Saves the World. It saw the return of Lloyd as Doc, who must travel to prevent a nuclear holocaust in 2045.
Finally, a musical theater production of the same name, written by Zemeckis, made its debut in February 2020 at the Manchester Opera House in England to positive reviews. It is now currently running on Broadway and in the West End. There have been rumors of a genuine movie reboot, but they have been frequently shot down. Nevertheless, the Back to the Future franchise still remains one of the most successful of all time and has found other ways to continue.
Currently, all three Back to the Future movies are available to stream on Peacock.
