Baldur's Gate 3 players looking to spice up their next playthrough with a small treasure trove of new items are in luck because a new mod aims to do just that. Larian Studios' massive RPG is already filled to the brim with unique items and tools that can have a significant impact on how Tav and the party explore the Forgotten Realms but, like most fans, most s will eventually want to experience even more. Fortunately, the Baldur's Gate 3 modding community is up to the task with an excellent add-on to introduce more variety to players' inventories.

Over on Nexus Mods, creator Jewels shared their "JWL Discordant Instruments - New Equipment Slot" which removes players' musical instrument slot, which is functionally useless for anyone who isn't a Bard, and replaces it with "something useful for everyone" alongside 100+ new magical items. "Trinkets" function like most other equipable items and many of them can be found scattered across Faerûn and, when found, will grant the some incredible benefits. This new type of loot is distributed in a fair and balanced manner, and some are even class-specific to cater towards unique builds.

What Trinkets Can Be Found In Baldur's Gate 3?

Powerful Magical Items Galore!

A list of rare magical items in Baldur's Gate 3

All of the Trinkets have some kind of mechanical benefit that should result in some major power increases or some fun experimentation. For example, the Annotated Map of the Sword Coast grants s a +1 bonus to History, Nature, and Survival, while the rare Wind Fan item grants a character the ability to use the Gust of Wind at Level 2 Spell. Some of the Trinkets are especially powerful, such as the Bowl of Commanding Water which conjures forth an imposing Water Elemental, or the Handy Haversack which increases carrying capacity by a staggering 250%.

Players who would prefer to keep their musical talents intact are advised to use the Flute, which is widely regarded as the best instrument in the game.

Some of the class-restricted items are even more exciting for Baldur's Gate 3 players looking to take their role-playing to the next level. Some of the stand-out Trinkets in this category include the Stone of Good Luck, which Druids the ability to fly and provides an addition +2 to all attack roles. Each of the items is incredibly powerful when used correctly, so experimentation is encouraged.

While Larian Studios may have stepped back from Baldur's Gate 3 as the studio looks ahead to its next project, the game's content isn't suffering. Ever since it was released into early access in 2020, the community has developed a wealth of unique mods to expand upon the original game and while some of them are minor tweaks, others are massive additions like new classes, races, and quests. Once official mod is launched for consoles, s on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will also be able to take advantage of these impressive add-ons.
