How To Get The Szaar Signet Ring in Baldur's Gate 3

Find Godey The Skeleton

Baldur's Gate 3 Godey skeleton servant of Cazador who can give you the Szaar Signet Ring to open Sinister Door

The Szaar Signet Ring is held by a skeleton guard named Godey found somewhere within the Palace. Speak to the NPC Vilhelm in the main hall, then a DC 18 Persuasion, Intimidation, or Deception check to convince them to tell you where this undead Baldur's Gate 3 character can be found. When successful, Vilhelm will say to you that Godey is located past a secret door in the lower levels of this dungeon section.

Though it is entirely up to player choice, it is highly recommended you utilize Astarion for this section of the game, even if he isn't typically one of your party , as you will miss out on story content if you continue forward without him and be forced to face tough enemies that would otherwise not engage you.

Godey will attack your party immediately if you find them if you don't have Astarion at your party. As long as Astarion is one of your party , you will be presented with different dialogue options you can choose from that might convince the skeleton to hand over the Ring simply. Those who try to fight Godey should be careful since this creature has several abilities that make it a tricky enemy in Baldur's Gate 3.

How To Get The Kozakuran Dictionary in Baldur's Gate 3

Use The Dictionary To Translate The Incantation Needed

You are unable to use the incantation on the side of the Ring unless you translate the arcane writing from the Kozakuran Dictionary. After you find Godey in the Kennels area of the Palace and receive the ring, head south until you reach a door as shown in ZaFrostPet's Youtube video above. With a high enough Arcana check, you'll find that this door is the only thing between your party and some necrotic energy caused by a Sapping Curse in the room ahead.

Standing in the Sapping Curse for a turn will deal 3d8 necrotic damage to any character that lingers too long. Those looking to beat Cazador in Baldur's Gate 3 should avoid taking any damage before facing him, especially once you're this close to the fight.

When you open the door, navigate through the Sapping Curse until one of your party reaches the Wardrobe next to the bed, where they will find the Kozakuran Dictionary. If you have them available, try using Misty Step or Fly to help you reach the Wardrobe while putting less risk on your party . Furthermore, the Scroll of Remove Curse simply gets rid of the necrotic effect, allowing you to explore the rest of the room for additional loot in Baldur's Gate 3.
