Vengeance is Back to Aid Bane's Work on Dinosaur Island

Vengeance on the Hunt DC

Vengeance is a half-clone of Bane who was raised in the same prison her father was. Experimented on from birth, Vengeance, like Bane, utilizes Venom, giving her enhanced strength. However, she's also brilliant like Bane and quite the tactical thinker. Vengeance spent much of her life manipulated and used by a cabal of elite and wealthy criminals. However, Vengeance was able to break away from their control and reunited with her father, who welcomed her into his life with open arms. Bane encouraged Vengeance to come with him so that they can take revenge on those who truly wronged them.

The unexpected twist of Vengeance being on Dinosaur Island is a bit ironic. The entire time, Batman was worried that his son was going to be too consumed with getting revenge. Bruce probably never expected he'd have to worry about Bane's offspring aiding her father. Vengeance may not have Bane's experience with the Dark Knight, but she's nearly as strong and just as smart as her dad. While Batman's come a long way since his first bout with Bane, there's always the threat another Venom-enhanced villain could shatter his back, just like Bane did all those years ago.

Is Vengeance Going to Break Batman Just Like Bane Did?

Comic book : Bane breaks Batman's back on his knee.

Thankfully, Bruce isn't alone here. He's also got Maya and Robin, even if the latter is obsessed at the moment with taking on Bane. Batman's nowhere near as worn down as he was when he fought Bane years ago and he's undoubtedly taught himself ways of countering any move Vengeance could use to try and break his back. Still, this is the first time Vengeance and Batman have fought. It'll be interesting to see just how much she takes after Bane and what that will mean for Batman.
