DC Comics just revealed a brand-new look at his Fear State arc with Batman #118. Fans can get a look at what Williamson has in store in the issue of DC Connect.

DC Connect is a monthly catalogue that features solicitation information and first looks at new issues. This Friday, DC will be releasing issue 17 of DC Connect, which will tease what's coming in December. Additionally, teases for the next year in comics will be featured in this Friday's issue. With Williamson being one of the head orchestrators of DC's current continuity, it makes sense that they will be teasing his plans for Batman and also the ever-expanding next steps in the publisher's Infinite Frontier era.

DC Comics just released a look at the DC Connect and its new preview for Batman #118, which showcases Jorge Molina's concept art for Batman's new villain, Abyss. The only difference between the four figures is the different color schemes of Abyss' shredded cape. The cover art for Batman #119 features another look at the new villain, confirming that Molina went for the purple-grey cape in the end. Overall, Abyss looks extremely intimidating in his sleek, metallic armor paired with his clawed gloves and scythe. He is the literal embodiment of death, which doesn't bode well for the Dark Knight.

Williamson's takeover will continue right where Fear State ends, launching the Dark Knight into a new four-issue arc where he will be taking on this mysterious new villain. However, they will not be fighting in Gotham City as Batman leaves his home to chase Abyss and the mysterious Batman, Inc. Bruce choosing to leave Gotham unprotected is a sign of how dangerous Abyss is. Luckily for Gotham, Batman has a whole Bat-Family that he can count on to mop up any criminals while he's gone.

Fans can get greater insight into the new four-issue arc that begins with Batman #118 this Friday when DC Connect #17 releases. DC has teased that there will be a new first look at the arc and a piece on introducing readers to Batman's newest villain, Abyss. There will also be teases in regards to Bruce Wayne's mission as he tracks down Batman, Inc. and uncovers the mystery surrounding the organization. It's an exciting time to be a Batman fan as there is an abundance of Bat-Family related comics coming out week by week from DC Comics.
