A few popular choices to play Batman's The Brave and the Bold movie. Since there have been few updates on the project, rumors have emerged about many actors, and some of the most popular choices appear in new DC art.

On Reddit, Dry-Conversation9817 shared a series of portraits showcasing what Jensen Ackles, Alan Ritchson, Sebastian Stan, and Jake Gyllenhaal could look like as the DCU's Batman.

All actors sport modern takes on Batman's classic costume, with his iconic logo, an armored look, and no cowl. Interestingly, most of the stars depicted in the Batman art have said that they would love to play Bruce Wayne in future DC movies. The only exception to the rule is Stan, who might be too busy with his Bucky Barnes role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to also play Batman.

Could Any Of The Actors Be The DCU's Batman?

The Stars Are All Great Choices For The DC Hero

A few details about the DCU's Batman have already been revealed. The hero will make his formal debut in the franchise — Batman appeared in a non-speaking role in the animated Creature Commandos series — in The Brave and the Bold. The movie's story is centered on Bruce Wayne finding out he has a son, Damian, and bonding with the young Robin. Gunn has also confirmed that more Bat-Family characters will appear in the movie. Given how Damian is the fourth male Robin in DC Comics, it seems like Batman will have a fully-fledged Bat-Family in the DCU.

The DC Universe's Latest Reveals Make A Jensen Ackles Batman Casting Seem More Possible Than Ever

Jensen Ackles is the most popular choice to play the DCU's Batman, and after new updates on The Brave and the Bold film, the casting is more possible.

That makes it possible for Ackles, Stan, Ritchson, and Gyllenhaal to play the DCU's Batman. All of the actors are in their 40s, which makes them quite older than David Corenswet, as the Superman star is 31. However, Batman could be older than Superman in the DCU, as the inclusion of Damian and the Bat-Family calls for a more experienced Bruce. Realistically, Stan is the most unlikely of the group to be cast, as Bucky Barnes is now getting his own MCU team, the Thunderbolts, to lead. Ackles, Ritchson, and Gyllenhaal all have a fair shot at the role.

Our Take On Whether Any Of The Actors Could Be The DCU's Batman

One Of The Stars Has Already Played Bruce Wayne

I would love to see any of the actors in the DC fan arts become the DCU's Batman. All of them have shown their ability to bring thrilling action scenes to life, as well as played darker roles in the past that suit Batman's persona. Out of the four, I think Ackles is the best choice. He can easily excel at the Batman and Bruce Wayne sides of the character and has even played Batman before. With Ackles saying he would love to be the DCU's Batman and having voiced him in multiple animated movies, he is my pick.
