Warning! Spoilers ahead for Flashpoint Beyond #3

In the latest issue of Flashpoint Beyond, it's revealed that Batman's father poses the biggest threat to countless realities in DC Comics. Having been displaced from his home reality for years in the current continuity, Thomas Wayne is struggling with the fact that the Flashpoint universe has somehow returned. Believing that nothing matters and that his primary mission is to set things back to the way they're meant to be, Flashpoint Batman's recklessness could very well be the end of everything.

As seen in previous issues of Flashpoint Beyond by Geoff Johns, Jeremy Adams, Tim Sheridan, Xermanico, Mikel Janin, Romulo Fajardo Jr., and Jordie Bellaire from DC Comics, Thomas Wayne found himself back in his own dark reality, the very same created by Barry Allen's Flash created when he went back in time to save his mother. While Flashpoint was destroyed when Flash restored the timeline (as best he could), the Reverse-Flash saved Thomas Wayne's Batman, turning him into a living paradox as punishment for killing him. Now, the Flashpoint universe has somehow returned with Thomas horrified to find himself back in the timeline where he and his wife lived while his son Bruce died.

Believing that nothing matters in the universe he's trying to erase, Thomas has already tried giving the Flashpoint Barry Allen powers during a lightning storm like they did the first time. Unfortunately, the attempt failed due to forces conspiring against him (leading to Allen's death). Now, his brutal and reckless actions have led to an encounter with the Flashpoint Super-Man in the new Flashpoint Beyond #3. While the Super-Man needs Batman's help to prevent a Kryptonian invasion, Thomas Wayne refuses to help as he's more focused on erasing his world to restore his son's (rather than saving the Flashpoint universe). However, it seems Thomas Wayne's present and future actions will pose a major risk to every reality in existence according to Time Masters Jeff Smith and Bonnie Baxter who are currently traveling in a time sphere through DC's Hypertime.

While the Omniverse might be under attack by the Great Darkness as seen in the current Dark Crisis crossover, the Time Masters confirm that it's relatively more stable than Hypertime. Essentially, Hypertime is comprised of the collection of alternate realities created by divergences in DC's main timeline (like Flashpoint). Apparently, the biggest thing that can damage this very complex timestream is paradoxes (just like Reverse-Flash and Thomas Wayne's Batman).

While it's unknown what Wayne's next moves will be, it seems they'll risk doing some major damage to a countless number of realities. Furthermore, he doesn't yet realize that his son Bruce is still alive and doing his own investigating into the nature of the multiverse and beyond. Here's hoping DC's realities will survive Batman and his living paradox of a father in the issues to come.
