At DC FanDome, cast Robert Pattinson as Batman and is set to introduce a whole host of classic Gotham City characters to his DC world. ing Pattinson in the pic are Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Paul Dano as Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon.
A first look at Pattinson's Batsuit was unveiled in a costume test video earlier this year before The Batman commenced filming. Set videos from shooting locations in the U.K. provided additional - if unofficial - looks at the stunt version of the Batsuit. Reeves also revealed images of the Batmobile during the shoot, while a Batcycle was seen in The Batman set photos and videos. Altogether, fans have seen glimpses of what to expect from the movie, but not much. Part of this is down to The Batman filming having to shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. For example, Kravitz said the Catwoman costume would've been revealed by now if not for the pandemic. But with production set to resume next month and The Batman slated for a 2021 release, DC FanDome this weekend is the perfect time for Reeves to unveil an even better look at his superhero movie.
During the film's at DC FanDome, Reeves unveiled The Batman movie trailer. The director prefaced the teaser by saying they've only filmed 25-30 percent of The Batman, so this is only a small portion of what will be seen in the final film - and in future trailers. Check it out below.
One of the biggest things of note in The Batman movie trailer is the confirmation that Dano's Riddler is the main villain of the film, with the antagonist targeting the Dark Knight and leaving riddles addressed to the masked vigilante. Wright's Gordon is also investigating the crimes that Riddler is committing, as indicated by him asking Batman if he knows anything about the riddles. It appears as though Riddler has murdered the mayor of Gotham, Don Mitchell Jr. - and it's likely his funeral the Riddler seemingly crashes. As for how Penguin fits in, that remains to be seen. Otherwise, Kravitz's Catwoman early costume seems to have been revealed, and looks to be more of a stealth suit she uses when breaking and entering into the crime scene to crack the victim's safe. As Reeves indicated during the , The Batman serves as her origin, so the Catwoman costume will likely evolve as well.
But, of course, the biggest reveals in The Batman movie trailer offers a first look at what we can expect from the film in of story and tone, there's still plenty more to be revealed as the movie continues filming.
