In the series, Ramos' family were experimented on as part of the Ark Project by billionaires who sought to create a metahuman army. After Batman destroyed the facility, Sofia and her family tried to enjoy a normal life, but her mother would later die from the experiments. After Ra's Al Ghul's disciple Ishmael kills her dad and leaves her for dead, Sofia uses her unique powers of healing and getting stronger the more pain she endures, to hunt him down. The last issue ended with Ishmael being defeated which gave Sofia a reason to stop her hunt and the superteam. CBR.com got an exclusive first look at Batman & The Outsiders #12 by Bryan Hill, Dexter Soy, Veronica Gandini, and Clayton Cowles, where Sofia sports a brand new costume.

All-in-all it's a pretty solid look for Sofia. It's a simple design with some unique design elements throughout. Although does Sofia have a mask, or will she be wearing similar headgear to what she previously wore before ing the team? Regardless, it's great to see a new character get the spotlight on one of DC's longest-running teams. Now, what could her superhero code name be? We'll have to wait until Batman & The Outsiders #12 comes out on May, 5. Check out the solicit for the issue below.
