Warning! Spoilers for Batman vs. Robin #4 by DC Comics
In new DC Comics cover art, Batman gets a considerable magical power upgrade as the hero wields Doctor Fate's helmet as he takes on Robin. In a new look at Batman vs. Robin #4, Batman wears the Helmet of Fate as he tries to stop his son, Damian Wayne, who has gathered some of the greatest magical artifacts in the DC Universe.
Batman has received many power upgrades thanks to magical and god-tier artifacts and weapons over the years. For example, in the Darkseid War in the pages of Justice League from DC Comics, Batman sat in the New God's Mobius Chair, creating the most powerful version of the hero to date. However, Batman will be donning the Helmet of Fate to stop his son Damian Wayne, who has teamed up with Mother Soul and the Devil Nezha as he messes with magic across the DC Universe. In the process, Batman will seemingly become DC's new Doctor Fate with the hero's incredible powers.
In a brand-new preview for Batman vs. Robin #4 by Mark Waid and Mahmud Asrar, the new cover art features Batman getting a massive magical power upgrade as he wears Doctor Fate's helmet, one of the most powerful magic items in the universe. Batman, who tried to learn magic before taking on the mantle, is fighting back against his son, Damian Wayne, as the first issue of the series revealed Robin was working alongside the Devil Nezha and Mother Soul while helping them assemble magical artifacts and causing serious problems for magic-s. To combat his out-of-control son, Batman will get the Helmet of Fate in what's set to be an epic battle.
Interestingly, Batman's Helmet of Fate has pointed ears, which throws into question whether the helmet is Doctor Fate's or whether it's a variation of the magical item. Doctor Fate's helmet has changed shapes before, as it will in the Black Adam film in the DCEU, so it's possible it just has adjusted to Batman's cowl. Check out the synopsis for Batman vs. Robin #4.
