In Killer Moth must be pretty lame for even Batman to barely him as a threat.

Talking to his source within Gotham’s seedy underbelly, Batman directly asks who might be teaming up in the villain community as well as who hasn’t been hit by this monster as of yet so he can begin the process of narrowing down his disparate leads. Listing off a few names such as Killer Croc, Deadshot, and Poison Ivy, Batman’s even mentions that he thinks “Killer Moth might’ve been hopping around” before Batman replies, “I never worry about Killer Moth,” effectively telling fans the one villain he could literally care less about.

Batman doesn't plan for Killer Moth

Usually sitting at the lowest rung of Batman’s eclectic group of rogues, Killer Moth is a criminal that isn’t exactly the most formidable, smart, or dangerous baddie of the bunch. Originally one of the very first villains thwarted by the OG Batgirl, Barbara Gordon, Killer Moth has struggled to be taken seriously over the years not only by the various of the Bat-Family, but by the entire criminal underworld as well.

But perhaps the most telling part about Batman not taking Killer Moth’s potential involvement in this new reptilian case as a legitimate threat is revealed directly after Bats’ ittance about what he thinks of Killer Moth as a whole. Asked by his about why Batman doesn’t worry about this particular villain, Bats responds with a cheeky and telling reply: “Clue’s in the name,” succinctly telling his — and fans — that Killer Moth’s dumb name kind of speaks for itself in regards to how much attention should be paid to the guy in the grand scheme of things.

Getting dissed in a sense that he’s not even dangerous enough to warrant a bat-plan from the Batman, Killer Moth continues to be the one villain no one seems to care enough about to plan for. And although Batman most certainly has plans for nearly every other villain in Gotham, Killer Moth is such a nonexistent threat that he prefers to deal with him on the fly.
