With the tide of the war against the Sovereign turning, Wonder Woman’s greatest love takes matters into his own hands with deadly consequences. Could Steve’s end be the beginning of Diana’s greatest adventure yet? Behold the birth of Trinity!

To discuss the impending birth of Trinity, Tom King and Daniel Sampere chatted with AIPT's David Brooke about this key issue of Wonder Woman, and in their conversation King made a revelatory statement that alludes to Trinity's role in the DC Universe ahead of her introduction:

They’re pretty much a trio. They’re very much the Three Stooges. They’re brothers and sisters in the best way.

The kids of the Justice League's Trinity being siblings rewrites their dynamic by framing their closeness in a wholesome new light, and it makes their eventual meeting worth looking forward to as the birth of Jon and Damian's little sister draws ever closer.

The Next-Gen Trinity Are Confirmed to be Siblings

Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman's Kids Are Even Closer Than Their Parents

Trinity, Superman, and Robin have been spending lots of time goofing off together in the Peanuts-inspired backups of Wonder Woman - co-created by King and artist Belén Ortega - and the confirmation that they're siblings makes their dynamic even more enjoyable. They're prone to bickering, such as when Jon and Damian babysit Lizzie, yet they always have each other's backs at the end of the day in true sibling fashion. Lizzie, Jon, and Damian's sibling relationship gives them a tight-knit bond that can never be broken. As such, their closeness will far exceed that of their parents.

Lizzie Prince, the daughter of Wonder Woman, is getting her own solo series as Trinity, and with it may come answers about the nature of her origin.

The Justice League's Trinity consists of Batman and Superman ed Wonder Woman on a mission, their children will all grow up together. As Lizzie Prince's hero name suggests, these three siblings have what it takes to become the Trinity of DC's next generation, and a much closer one at that.

Although Trinity has appeared in King and Ortega's backup stories, she has yet to be born in the main timeline of the DC Universe. Meanwhile, her brothers have already established themselves as core figures in continuity. Damian and Jon share an iconic friendship as the former Super Sons, and now they'll have a third sibling to turn their duo into a trio. Trinity will have some catching up to do if she wants to keep up with her siblings, considering how prominent they've become as character. King said the following about Damian and Jon's respective impacts on DC Comics as a whole:

I think Damian’s an absolute essential pillar to the DC Universe now. And I think Jon gives us a new generation’s look at what a superhero can be.

Damian Wayne has proven himself as one of the best Robins to ever work alongside Batman, while Jon Kent has taken on the Superman mantle with his own solo series as the Man of Steel. They've both solidified their place within DC lore, carrying on their fathers' legacies while building their own. With Trinity's canon debut imminent, she'll finally be able to make a mark on the DC Universe the way her older brothers have, and together they hold the potential to outshine Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, and the other Justice League heroes who have preceded them.
