The conclusion to made it a hit with McBeast's fans.

From chocolate bars and clothing to basketballs and action figures, everything MrBeast touches turns to gold, as his rabid audience consumes the content (and products) he creates. So, it makes sense that viewers followed eventual winner Jeffrey, who competed in various challenges and feats during each episode. He became one of the final two contestants. Sometimes, the challenges were tests of strength, strategy, or intelligence - occasionally, good luck was needed. In a twist, the final prize was doubled from $5 million to $10 million, with Jeffrey, 44, ultimately nabbing it. It's the largest grand prize in the history of entertainment.

MrBeast announced the game show in early 2024, with Amazon MGM Studios winning a bidding war to air the show. Beast Games is loosely inspired by Netflix's hit Squid Game, where contestants play children's games in an attempt to win a grand prize. Beast Games was filmed in a custom $14 million "city" built by MrBeast in Toronto, according to Business Insider.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, MrBeast promised that the show would make the YouTube community he found fame in proud.

"My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms. Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud."

MrBeast felt his business was worth $1.5 billion.

Beast Games Winner Vows To Use Money To Help Find Cure For Son's Rare Disorder

Jeffrey Allen's Son Suffers From CTD

In a world where reality TV competition shows are a dime a dozen, with contestants vying for various prizes with often disingenuous motives, I found it refreshing to finally see a winner who plans to use the prize money for good. He wants to help find a cure for his son's rare genetic disorder. The money will be put to good use, as not much is known about the disorder.

Jeffrey's road to victory was never easy, but his drive to win had a touching motivating factor: Jeffrey's son, Lucas, 7, suffers from a rare genetic disease, Creatine Transporter Deficiency. According to rarediseases.org, CTD is "an inborn error of creatine metabolism" which is "estimated to for 1-2% of all unexplained X-linked intellectual disabilities. It is the most common of the three cerebral creatine deficiency syndromes."

CTD often results in patients experiencing developmental delays. Symptoms can impact a person’s growth, affecting speech, muscle tone and motor skills, and can often cause behavioral problems and seizures in those who have the disease. Ultrarareadvocacy.com reports CTD is caused by a genetic mutation.

The disease is often compared to autism, and it’s so rare that only around 150 people are known to have the disease. The fact that the disease is so rare means that there aren’t as many resources dedicated to finding a cure. But Jeffrey hopes to change that, planning to use his winnings to help researchers learn more about the disease, and eventually, find a cure.

Jeffrey hails from Columbus, Ohio, but currently lives in California with his wife, Jen, and their two sons: Lucas and Jack. Prior to the show's finale, he spoke to his hometown paper, The Columbus Dispatch, about what participating in the show meant to him. Whether he won or lost, Jeffrey said he considered himself a winner because he was able to shed light and educate people on what CTD is.

"I feel like I've already won because I got to talk about Lucas' condition in the last two episodes, and kind of anything on top of that is just gravy."

In Jeffrey's case, the gravy is the $10 million prize, which he nabbed after completing a grueling series of challenges on the reality competition show. Jeffrey's shrewd strategizing and gameplay kept him in the competition long enough to beat out hundreds of other contestants. While losing millions of dollars is never easy, I'm sure the other competitors can feel good about the fact that the prize money will be going to help save lives like Jeffrey's son.

Like many watching, I was emotional watching Jeffrey discuss his son's health issues throughout his run on Beast Games, opening up about his family's struggle in episode 8, where he was reunited with his family during a surprise visit. It's nice to see the human being behind the competitor. Getting to know who they are away from the show makes watching them win much sweeter.

Jeffrey shared in a video posted to Instagram that he signed up to compete in order to help his son and others afflicted with the rare disease. He's very open about how important this is to him. It's endearing and heartfelt. He said:

"I'm going to use it for good, which is to help find a cure for my son," the devoted dad said, explaining that the disease was so rare, only a few hundred people in the world are diagnosed.

"That's why I'm here. I literally signed up for him. He is my purpose."

Jeffrey Won Beast Games Through Strategic Game-Playing And Luck

Prize Money Will Be Life-Changing For Jeffrey's Family

Throughout Beast Games challenges, contestants are offered buyouts in order to exit the competition. While many accepted a sum of money to leave the show, Jeffrey declined any potential buyout, eventually beating everyone to take home the grand prize, which was upped from $5 million to $10 million during the show's finale. The doubling of the prize money came after Jeffrey correctly guessed a coin flip in a game of complete chance. Jeffrey then went on to correctly guess the suitcase that contained the $10 million prize on the first guess, which seemed to even stun the host himself.

After Jeffrey correctly guessed the winning suitcase, he jumped onto a pile of cash and slid down in joy, as his family rushed to embrace him. His wife, with tears streaming down her face, told Jeffrey, "You're gonna find Lucas a cure," as the family celebrated his Beast Games win. And in a turn of sportsmanship we rarely see on reality TV, the contestant Jeffrey beat, Twana Barnett, shook his hand and told him he deserved the price. Watching the two embrace made me tear up, since we know that this money will be life-changing for Jeffrey and his family.
