With Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 featuring more of Daisy than ever before, there has been a lot of interaction that viewers haven’t seen in the past between Daisy and Gary. Though the pair were originally on decent after Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4, when the reunion for the season filmed and both got heated regarding their dynamic throughout the season, their relationship suffered. While Daisy was upset with the way Gary spoke to and about her during the reunion, Gary wasn’t happy with the way Daisy behaved, either. Moving into the current season, they were tense.

She Didn’t Abandon Her Friendship With Gary

Although Daisy and Gary struggled in their friendship at the beginning of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, it seems that the pair will eventually patch things up as the charter season continues. With Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 having filmed over a year ago, things have evolved in the time since the season finished shooting, especially when it comes to Gary’s reputation. During the filming season last year, allegations of sexual misconduct came out about Gary, who was accused of being sexually violent with a Below Deck franchise makeup artist.

While Daisy and the rest of the cast have yet to publicly speak on the allegations, her relationship with Gary appears to be solid, as both have posted each other on social media. Gary shared a post in recent months that featured current photos of himself and Daisy, making it clear that despite the very serious allegations of sexual misconduct lodged against him, she’s still a friend of Gary’s. Daisy has always been more forgiving of Gary than people expect, so this isn’t necessarily surprising for their relationship.

Daisy has always been forgiving of Gary, seemingly because she feels she knows his true nature better than others. While Gary is typically flippant and overly casual in the way he acts with Daisy and other women aboard Parsifal III, she tends to let things go more easily than others. Daisy may not want to be the person who has to go against Gary, but to Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers, it seems more like she doesn’t want to hold him able for his actions. Though it’s not clear why Daisy always forgives Gary, it’s something viewers can bank on.

Although Daisy has tried to push Gary on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, her serious streak with the First Officer doesn’t appear to last long. While Gary has shared that he’s likely being edited out of the majority of Below Deck Sailing Yacht this season, what viewers have seen of him has painted Daisy in a serious light. Though Daisy can be hard on Gary in ways that should benefit their relationship, she often excuses his behavior too quickly. Daisy needs to put her foot down on Below Deck Sailing Yacht when it comes to Gary’s often sub-par behavior.
