15 Best Characters The MCU Can Use Now That Disney Owns Fox

Another day, another corporation bought by Disney. ittedly, one of the best things to come from the 20th Century Fox buyout is that Disney now has a new catalog of properties to crossover. Maybe one day Disney will buy Haley Joel Osment so that the world can finally see a live action Kingdom Hearts movie.

Actually, the most exciting piece of news revolves around the new Marvel characters being carried over from 20th Century Fox. Fans have been waiting for years to see characters like The Hulk and Wolverine collide on the big screen. Check out the list to see which characters should immediately crossover into the MCU!

Wolverine

Aside being known for having an impressively hairy chest, Wolverine is considered one of the most popular characters in the Marvel canon. Fans had been hoping for years that Hugh Jackman's rendition of the character would the MCU.

Although that version of the character will never show up (Jackman is now working as a full-time circus ringmaster), fans should still rejoice. It's only a matter of time before the MCU brings in a new Logan to stand alongside earth's mightiest heroes.

The Thing

With the exception of Korg, the MCU doesn't have enough rock based characters. Enter The Thing A.K.A. Ben Grimm. Ben is a founding member of The Fantastic Four. He also has a history of being one of the most physically imposing heroes in Marvel comics.

Fans have always debated if The Hulk or The Thing would win in a fight. It now looks like audiences may finally have a chance to see a live action interpretation of this battle.

The Sentry

The Sentry is perhaps the only dude who has more luscious locks than Thor. Sorry, the hair jokes are in full swing today. Debuting in Marvel Knights Comics in 2000, the character has since been a strong subject of debate. The Sentry had essentially been retconned into The Fantastic Four canon as the strongest character in the Marvel universe.

He's basically Superman with dissociative identity disorder. When people are on his good side, well that means society lives to see another day. If his other personality takes over? Never mind, we don't even want to think about what that looks like.

Cyclops

The best that thing that can be said about the Disney/Fox merger is that we'll finally get a movie version of Cyclops whose only line isn't, "JEEEAAAN!!!" Kidding of course. James Marsden is a boss.

Cyclops is definitely a character that deserves a well rounded cinematic adaptation. Comic books like Astonishing X-Men give him really cool leadership issues to deal with. Also, he plays a key role in Avengers Vs. X-Men. Let's say it just one more time because it's so fun. "JEEEAAAN!!!"

Apocalypse

Apocalypse is like Thanos, but blue! Really though, the character is frightening and has appeared in a lot of Marvel comics events over the years. Billed as the first mutant, his strength stands toe to toe alongside the most powerful comic book villains of all time.

If his name wasn't already an indication, he's pretty scary. After Thanos is defeated the world is going to want another person to attempt global genocide. Apocalypse can fill that gap and could also possibly be a common threat that unites the entire new MCU.

Doop

Look, our boy Doop rules and should be allowed to do whatever he wants. Heck, he's not even part of the Game of Thrones universe, but he should be allowed to rule the Iron Throne.

According to the comics, Doop is a green blob created by the government that was instrumental in ending the Cold War. Just deal with it. Doop's other main function in the comics require him to film the X-Men's adventures. That's right, the X-Men have a cameraman named Doop.

Magneto

Everyone knows who Magneto is. He's timelessly cool and pretty much one of the most complex villains ever. Adding him to the MCU might finally break the Marvel villain curse, giving the world an antagonist who is truly memorable. Time to make a House of M adaptation.

Human Torch

Considering the fact that Chris Evans will likely exit the MCU after Avengers: Endgame, maybe he'll return as The Human Torch! That will never happen, but that's okay. The very notion that the character will most likely cross paths with other Marvel heroes is awesome enough.

Moreover, some of the best moments in the Fantastic Four comics take place when the Human Torch and the Thing banter with one another. Fun fact, the Human Torch was one of Marvel's first characters ever created.

Galactus

Galactus is a man of simple taste. He's just super hungry all of the time. Except, the only bad part is that he likes to eat entire planets. Originally appearing in The Fantastic Four #48, the character has always been one of the most iconic looking Marvel bad guys. Galactus' larger than life presence alone would require the entire MCU to take him down.

Deadpool

Everyone's just interested to see how many Disney jokes the character will make. In fact, Ryan Reynolds has already been poking fun at the company on Instagram. Furthermore, there's tons of crossover potential for the Merc With A Mouth.

2016's Spider-Man/Deadpool comic book is easily one of the funniest Marvel crossovers in years. Reynolds and Tom Holland throwing verbal jabs at each other would be a fan boy's dream come true.
