Having aired since 2017, the Steven Universe), to name a few. The show's also attracted big actors to appear as guest stars, even some who'd portrayed these iconic characters for years.
As season three is still running, there are more guest stars slated to appear including Selma Blair, Doug Jones, and Clancy Brown. Those mentioned below have been accumulated during the entire series' run so far. Additionally, those listed below were chosen based on their performances, memorability, and significance to the show.
Jameela Jamil As Gandra Dee
Rebooted from her 1987 counterpart, Gandra Dee is a rebellious tech whiz and scientist who prefers to work alone. In her first appearance, she attracts Fenton Duck/Gizmo Duck and invites herself over under the guise of helping him solve an equation. However, it's later revealed that she was just using this opportunity to snoop information for Mark Beaks.
After being found out, she assists Fenton with taking down Mark when he turns into a monster and later vanishes. Known for her role on Jamil pulled the part off like a pro, eloquently uttering Dee's scientific jargon and impeccably capturing her cool demeanor.
Julie Bowen As Penumbra
This Moonlander named Penumbra was originally a lieutenant who has a tremendous sense of duty and love for her people. She was initially skeptical of Della. However, Penumbra eventually warmed up to her after Della fixed her weapon and they became best friends.
When the Moonlanders invaded Earth, Penumbra assisted Della and her family against the siege and they were successful. Bowen was terrific as the dutiful and proud alien, and fans are hoping to see her reappear in the series.
Edgar Wright As Alistair Boorswan
In "The Duck Knight Returns," director Boorswan is filming a gritty version of the series' in-universe TV hero Darkwing Duck. Unfortunately, the studio's head Scrooge refuses to fund any more money unless he's given creative control. After hounding Scrooge, Dewey manages to go overboard and makes various ill-advised decisions that ruin Boorswan's vision.
Boorswan was a parody of director Christopher Nolan, who is well-known for his dark Batman series. He was voiced by Edgar Wright.
Nia Vardalos As Selene
The Greek goddess of the moon, Selene was the daughter of Zeus and a family friend of the Ducks and Della. After Dewey and Webby searched for the spear of Selene, she regretted to inform them that it didn't exist. Disappointed that a possible lead to his mother was gone and questioning her motives, Selene assured him she was a good person who cared about her family. She bequeathed him a sphere that Della had yearned for. Her voice actress is not only Greek. She's also the star and writer of My Big Fat Greek Wedding and its sequel.
Don Cheadle As Donald Duck
A frequent gag in the series has been the characters misunderstanding Donald's speech. However, in the episode "Shadow War," they were finally able to understand him after he swallowed a device that gave him the clear and intelligible voice of Don Cheadle.
This marked the Avengers: Endgame actor's first time voicing the character. He'd later return in the season three episode "Quack Pack." While it was surprising to hear Cheadle's voice come out of Donald, it made for great comedy, and he turned out to be a great pick for the character.
Tress Macnellie As Daisy
Having portrayed Daisy for years some, fans wondered if the actress would reprise her character for the reboot. Macnellie eventually voices Daisy in her debut episode "Louie's Eleven." Daisy's shown to be the detail-oriented and overwhelmed assistant of socialite Emma Glamour. Donald is instantly enamored, and they start a friendship.
Different from her previous incarnations, Daisy's shown to be a gifted and aspiring fashion designer. Macnellie's turn as Daisy delivered some major nostalgia for the fans.
Bill Farmer As Goofy
In the 90s-centric episode "Quack Pack" Goofy's introduced as Donald's wacky and uncoordinated neighbor and photographer. Appearing in his Goof Troop garb—another 90s series—he helps Donald see the beauty in imperfection and realize that each family has their own version of normal.
Besides Goof Troop, Goofy was also melded from his A Goofy Movie incarnation. Farmer's voiced Goofy since 1987 and has gone on nearly forty years still shows he's got it.
Jim Cumming As Jim Starling/Darkwing Duck
Having portrayed Darkwing Duck in the 90s series of the same name. Fans were delighted to see Cummings reprise the role albeit an alternate version of the character. Jim Starling's a washed-up actor who's eager to reprise his role.
Starling stalks the film's actor, Drake Mallard, and almost commits homicide in a fit of rage and psychoticism. When he realizes the damage he's caused, he briefly snaps out of it and saves Launchpad and Mallard before vanishing. The series did a nice ing of the torch where Drake Mallard became the new Darkwing Duck and acknowledging "Jim." Meanwhile, Starling was reborn as Darkwing's nemesis Negaduck.
Jaime Camil As Don Karnage
Don Karnage was originally the main villain of Talespin. When Camil was cast as Don Karnage, he was humbled and determined to do the character justice, having been a fan himself when he was a child.
While committed to emulating the character fans knew and loved, he also realized the importance of giving the character his signature spin. Needless to say, Karnage was just as fun as ever, and Camil definitely left his mark on him.
Allison Janney As Goldie O'Glit
Goldie's portrayed in the reboot as Scrooge's old flame and adventurous treasure hunter. Similar to Scrooge, she's incredibly intelligent and agile, but, unlike Scrooge, her moral alignment's more eschewed, and she's tread the path of villainy when it suits her.
Goldie utilizes her charm and cunning to get what she wants. Despite being self-involved, she's still shown to care for Scrooge and will help him if he's in a snag. Janney's tremendous performance captured Goldie's wit, cunning, and debonair nature in a small neat package.
