Tom Clancy franchises. Although the studio is best known for its open-world gameplay alongside storytelling, it's clear that the studio has done non-open world titles before. Whether they have produced, distributed, or developed said games, they have been beloved by fans in a way where it stays with them to this day. Child Of Light is the Ubisoft RPG that released back in 2014 to critical acclaim. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with the artistic style of Thomas Rollus, it used the UbiArt Framework engine to bring this game to life.

With a luscious art style, strong story, and gameplay, the game follows Aurora, who travels across the kingdom of Lemuria with the goal of bringing back the sun, moon, and the stars, which have been taken by the villainous Queen Of The Night.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition (PC) - 89%

Rocksmith 2014 Edition is the follow-up to the original game which came out back in 2011. As with its predecessor, players are able to play by utilizing a proper electric guitar, playing along utilizing a USB cord, rather than just the guitar controller.

The game contains 66 songs with plenty of room to gain more. The game was critically acclaimed and is praised due to the variety of improvements that were made from its predecessor.

Grandia II (DC) - 90%

Although it was developed by GameArts, the game was distributed and published by Ubisoft. In the sequel to the original Grandia, the story focuses on setting thousands of years following a great battle between gods.

A young mercenary named Ryudo is tasked to protect a songstress, and the game primarily follows their journey in relation to the church and the history of the world. Grandia II is a strong RPG with good gameplay and a solid story. However, the overworld is fairly limited, as it forces the player to follow the structure of the game rather than divert like some RPGs.

Silent Hunter III (PC) - 90%

Developed by Ubisoft Bucharest, Silent Hunter III allows the player to control a German U-Boat during World War 2. Winning the best simulation game award back in 2005 by Computer Games Magazine, the player has to finish a series of missions.

Each mission offers a series of objectives through an assigned patrol grid. The mission can be accomplished or finished depending on the dynamic actions of the player.

Trials Evolution (X360) - 90%

Trails Evolution is a video game developed by studio subsidiaries RedLynx and Ubisoft Shanghai. Released back in 2012, the game allows the player to control a biker as they traverse through a series of different obstacles. The goal is to finish the course as fast as possible with as little crashes as possible.

The game received universal acclaim across critics thanks to the addicting gameplay, multiplayer, track editor, and more.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (X360) - 90%

Released back in 2006, the game plays similar to its previous iterations. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter focuses on commanding their team as they complete a series of objectives.

The game requires the player to think strategically regarding cover and team coordination in order to finish the game. Commercially it was a success, spawning sequels and selling more than 1.6 million copies.

IL-2 Sturmovik (PC) - 91%

Similar to the Silent Hunter series, IL-2 Sturmovik is a World War 2 simulation game developed by 1C: Maddox Games and published by Ubisoft. Featuring over 30 planes, the player is able to choose between several countries from the US to the USSR.

The game offered multiplayer online which is able to roughly 100 players. It won the best simulation game of 2001 by editorials such as Computer Games Magazine.

Rayman Legends (WIIU) - 92%

Rayman Legends is the direct sequel to Rayman Origins and it follows its gameplay style. Containing a unique cartoony style, the game is focused on clearing levels at a fast pace while collecting Teensies. The game contains over 120 levels, each with its own unique sense of challenges.

The game was universally praised thanks to the level design, mechanics, and presentation. All of which culminates into an addictive experience befitting of the franchise.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (XBOX) - 92%

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is arguably the genesis point that laid the foundations for the Assassin's Creed franchise, and the game possibly has a remake in the works. Following the titular Prince, he ventures throughout the palace as he vanquishes several sand monsters while utilizing the ability to turn back time.

The game was universally acclaimed thanks to its storytelling, fun characters, and interesting platforming sections. The ability to manipulate time allows for new possibilities and do-overs when the player messes up during gameplay. It has become a fan-favorite to the point of having its own film.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (XBOX) - 94%

The third entry in the original Splinter Cell trilogy is also arguably the best game in the entire franchise. Following the special ops protagonist Sam Fisher, Chaos Theory improves on what came before while also adding in new elements to keep things fresh.

Due to being significantly darker, this is the first game in the franchise to receive an M-rating. Critics praised the title for being a mesh between a strong story and gameplay. With strong shadows and good audio, many critics and fans consider this title to be the peak of the franchise as a whole and the best Ubisoft game by Metacritic.
