One of the most underrated parts of The Real Housewives franchise is the family dynamic with the Housewives. There's nothing wrong with a franchise like RHONY having more single ladies than a franchise like RHOP, but there's something magical about watching what life is like for the couples on The Real Housewives.
Over the years, Bravo has had its fair share of great (and horrible) couples. Some complimented each other while others were disastrous on-screen. But out of eight cities in the franchise and past and present Housewives, which couples did fans love most?
Melissa & Joe Gorga
Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe ed the series as full-time in season three. As the sister-in-law of original Housewife, Teresa Giudice, Melissa adds great perspective into their family drama. However, it's not always the drama with the Giudices that fans love — it's her relationship with Joe Gorga. The couple has three children together and has a playful dynamic on screen. Joe's old school traditions and Melissa's modern preferences come head-to-head at times but their flirtatious nature is appreciated by fans after all these years.
Monique & Chris Samuels
Monique Samuels ed the cast in season two. She's an entrepreneur who married NFL superstar Chris Samuels and has three kids together. And while there was a rumor regarding the paternity of their youngest son, Monique and Chris pledge that no cheating was involved.
Putting that rumor aside, the two are a real team who come together when times get tough, unlike a few of the other couples in the franchise. They have their problems (like speaking ively-aggressively to each other) but their dedication to their marriage and raising their kids is something to appreciate.
Lisa Vanderpump & Ken Todd
Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd have one of the longest relationships in The Real Housewives' history. After a brief engagement, the two got married in 1982 and had two children together. They later moved to America from England and continued their entrepreneurship on the West Coast. Now as popular restauranteurs in Los Angeles, LVP and Ken are living the life. Sadly, the couple left RHOBH after nine seasons, and too many lines crossed. Their relationship is still considered one of the best in the franchise, however. Ken always sided with Lisa during her arguments with the ladies.
Margaret Josephs & Joe Benigno
Margaret Josephs was a breath of fresh air when she ed the series in season 8. Her life as a businesswoman working out of her house with her mother as her bookkeeper was fascinating. But what was more her marriage to Joe Benigno. The two started on rocky when they fell in love with each other when they were already married.
After leaving their spouses, they got married and have been together ever since. Joe and Margaret work well with each other's sense of humor and never try to turn the other into someone they're not. Joe is always very ive of "The Marg."
Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky
After getting Together, Kyle and Mauricio and respect one another. Mauricio isn't afraid to get involved in the conversation if his wife or family is being disrespected. He also stands up for her friends when he feels they're treated unfairly. It's not often that couples in Hollywood last long but Kyle and Mauricio have proven everyone wrong.
Alex McCord & Simon van Kempen
Alex McCord was an original Housewife of RHONY who has been missed by viewers as of late. After being on the franchise for four seasons, Alex had enough of the drama and moved to her husband's home country of Australia. And while she's no longer a Housewife, fans still recognize her beautiful marriage. Sure, Alex and Simon had their unique moments that were unlike everyone else's relationship on the show but they've proven everyone wrong. Their love for fashion and travel has clearly paid off.
Heather & Terry Dubrow
Heather and Terry Dubrow's relationship was so beloved that Terry went on to get his own reality TV show on the E! network called Botched. The couple ed RHOC in season 7 and showed off their lavish lifestyle. And although Terry had a serious job as a plastic surgeon, he always made life fun with Heather and their kids. Sadly, Heather departed the series at the end of season 11 but their relationship is still talked about today.
Kandi Burruss-Tucker & Todd Tucker
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kandi has the show to thank for meeting her husband, Todd Tucker. Todd These days, the couple is now married and have two children together (along with Kandi's daughter from a previous relationship). They haven't been together for as long as some of the other couples on this list but they have proved their loyalty to each other time and time again. He's one of the most level-headed husbands in the series.
Stephanie & Travis Hollman
Like many other Housewives and their husbands, Stephanie and Travis Hollman have had their issues on RHOD but over time they have shown their strength as a couple. They have come together to a common good and have great work for their community. Unlike a few of the couples who show off a lavish lifestyle on The Real Housewives, Stephanie and Travis back it up by helping those in need while not having any debt. They're the real deal.
Whitney & Justin Rose
After the success of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Bravo greenlit the city for season two. Whitney Rose was one of the Housewives that fans gravitated toward, especially due to her relationship with her husband, Justin Rose. The two met while working together but both were already married. Once they realized their feelings, Whitney and Justin left their spouses for each other and created a beautiful life together. On the show, fans saw the two celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Despite their age difference, Justin and Whitney are incredibly ive of each other.
