Weiss, and Alexander Woo, is based on Liu Cixin's 2008 novel The Three-Body Problem, the first installment in a trilogy book series. 3 Body Problem chronicles a series of strange events that link a group of scientists and can be traced back to the Chinese Cultural Revolution during the 1960s and 1970s.
David Benioff, D. B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo's initial plan was to adapt all three of Liu Cixin's Three-Body Problem novels, so 3 Body Problem will likely have at least three seasons on Netflix.

The science fiction psychological thriller series, created by Zak Penn and based on Hugh Howey's short story series, shares many qualities with Constellation. Both narratives are rooted in space travel and contain characters who begin thinking they are losing their minds as a mystery unfolds around them. Of course, they are also very different, but if one liked Constellation, the odds are they'll enjoy Beacon 23.

However, when things get a little too real, Flynne realizes the peripheral can do more than recreate wishes digitally, and now she and those she loves are in danger due to the nature of the device.

The final television series that shares a couple of qualities with Constellation is The Peripheral. The Amazon Prime Video science fiction show, created by Scott B. Smith, was released in October 2022 and is based on William Gibson's 2014 novel of the same name. The Peripheral season 1, consisting of eight episodes, is set 10 years into the future and revolves around a society that has been forever changed because of advances in technology. Aside from The Peripheral's typical science fiction elements, the Amazon Prime Video series shares a connection to Constellation through its alternate reality themes.
In the show, Chloë Grace Moretz's character, Flynne Fisher, becomes connected to an alternate version of her future via a virtual reality program. Of course, everything is not as wonderful as it first seems, leading to trouble for Flynne. Despite its positive reviews and initial renewal in February 2023, Amazon canceled production of The Peripheral season 2 in August 2023 due to delays related to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. So, it would be a short binge following Constellation, and unfortunately, The Peripheral ended in a cliffhanger, meaning that the show does not have closure.
Apple TV+ is releasing another science fiction television series, Dark Matter, on May 8, 2024, and its alternate universe premise is quite similar to Constellation's. Dark Matter stars Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Oakes Fegley, and Dayo Okeniyi.
