Infinity Ward's remake of one of their classic titles, 2019's Warzone is one of the best, most polished, mechanically deep, and popular Battle Royale on the market. Modern Warfare has proven to be a success for Infinity Ward and will serve as a milestone for FPS titles and Call of Duty games in the future.

A new feature added to Modern Warfare is the more in-depth attachments menu. Allowing players to attach up to five attachments onto a weapon. This range everywhere from, scopes, foregrips, and rear grips, stocks, and special perks. When creating the ideal gun for a player's playstyle, it is easy to ignore these weapon perks, seeing as how they aren't as impactful as some of the attachments in the game. However, there are at least 5 weapon perks that provide players a significant advantage in battle. These weapon perks, although under-explored are certainly worth the attachment slot. Although, there are 5 extremely terrible weapon perks that should be avoided at all costs.

The 5 Best Weapon Perks in Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Each of these weapon perks will provide players a significant advantage in online matches and are certainly worth the attachment slots. They occupy a certain niche that is certainly worth attaching to guns to give them an extra advantage in battle.

  • Sleight of Hand- one of the most iconic perks in all of Call of Duty, has been relegated to a weapon perk in this entry in the franchise. This cuts down on reload time, which is an incredible advantage to have during an intense firefight.
  • Frangible-Wounding- Although an underappreciated weapon perk, this one provides the most mileage during game modes such as Search and Destroy. It limits an enemy's ability to heal and reduces the time significantly, which is an ability that can be useful with players who are good at running away from combat encounters.
  • Presence of Mind- For players who prefer a more long-range sniper this is a must-have perk for you. It increases your ability to hold breath and steady your weapon's idle-sway. This buff is massive as players can hold their breath up to a minute!
  • FMJ- FMJ was a fan-favorite attachment in Modern Warfare 2, while not being as strong in this game, it is still a nice perk to attach to your weapon. It can penetrate walls that were previously unpenetrable and does an excellent job at disabling air-borne kill streaks.
  • Recon- Recon allows players to see the player's nameplates from further away. While on paper this does not seem like a useful perk, the nameplate sight range increases nearly infinitely. Allowing players to have a better visual on enemies at near max distance.

The 5 Worst Weapon Perks in Modern Warfare

Modern Warfare Worst Perks

The following perks are some of the worst attachments in the entire game. Having these on your gun is essentially a waste of an attachment slot.

  • Burst- While some players may prefer a burst modification on their weapons, this is not the game to have such a desire. The reason being is due to the significant delay between bursts in Modern Warfare. Essentially stunting your weapon's rate of fire.
  • Fast Melee- At first this perk may sound appealing, but truthfully the melee time increase is negligible at best. The standard melee in this game is perfectly fine the way it is, and having a slightly faster melee time is a waste.
  • Heavy Hitter- This increases the stun on enemies when meleeing them. However, the stunning increase is nearly impossible to notice and is a complete waste of a Perk.
  • Frangible-Disabling- This attachment will stop an opponent from running if shot in the legs. While this may sound appealing at first, most weapons in this game provide less damage if a player shoots at an opponent's legs. This perk is essentially encouraging players to get the least amount of damage possible.
  • Mo Money- In Warzone this perk drops more money on the ground, and provides players more experience for a kill. This is simply a waste of an attachment slot and provides no tangible benefit during a match.
