When a show is interesting enough, producers and executives go into immediate talks and discussions about creating spinoffs. Spinoff shows have the potential to be extremely popular and successful, but they also have the potential to be total failures. The better a spinoff show is, the more respect that viewers and fans have. Watching spinoff shows is always exciting and fun because we get to see more interesting storylines told based on characters that we already know and love.

That being said, there are some great options for spinoff TV shows to tune into today, and here are a few great options to consider right about now based on some incredible original shows.

Ravenswood: Pretty Little Liars Spinoff

Ravenswood is a relationship problems. They bent the truth about pretty much everything and always tried to cover their tracks, no matter what.

Ravenswood was released in 2013, but, sadly, it only lasted for one season. It focused on the character of Caleb Rivers, a handsome and charming character we were first introduced to in Pretty Little Liars. We surely wish that we could’ve seen more of Ravenswood before its cancelation.

The Originals: Vampire Diaries Spinoff

When Twilight movie saga. The comparisons between the main characters of Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries and Bella Swan from Twilight were pretty huge and undeniable. The Vampire Diaries ran for eight seasons starting in 2009. Let's be real, vampire entertainment was a pretty big deal during that era of time.

It got two spinoffs, actually: The Legacies, but, right now, we are focused on The Originals spin-off. The Originals ran for five seasons starting in 2013, and, just like Vampire Diaries, it was also classified as a vampire drama.

Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad Spinoff

Everyone knows that the character of Walter White who was working as a chemistry high school teacher when he found out that he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

The spinoff show, Better Call Saul, focuses on a lawyer who starts off with good intentions yet ends up becoming more and more sleazy and corrupt as the show progresses.

Raven's Home: That's So Raven Spinoff

Disney Channel is such a great place for quality TV shows to emerge, and That’s So Raven was no exception at the time of its release either. That’s So Raven was a popular Disney Channel sitcom that ran for four seasons starting way back in 2003. It starred the likes of Raven Symone, Anneliese van der Pol, and Orlando Brown in the leading roles as teenage friends who had each other's backs.

Fast forward more than a decade later, and the spinoff, Raven's Home has been doing extremely well! It started running in 2017 and has gone on for three seasons so far. It is still all about the character of Raven, who was once a teenager with incredible psychic powers. She is now all grown up and taking care of her own family.

Angel: Buffy The Vampire Slayer Spinoff

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, and Nicholas Branden. The show is considered to be in the horror genre, but it wasn’t necessarily all that scary during its time.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is about teenagers who were fighting back against evil spirits in the town on Sunnydale. Angel, the spinoff, starred David Boreanaz in the leading role. It would’ve been difficult for them to go wrong in any way with the original or the spinoff.

Fuller House: Full House Spinoff

Fuller House is a spinoff to Full House, one of the classic and most iconic 90s TV shows. Full House started airing in 1987 and ran for eight successful seasons, which says a lot about its quality. The cast of the original Full House show worked together so flawlessly and perfectly in every episode back in the day! Watching the family interact with each other and made the show so sweet and enjoyable.

The fact that all of their issues were wrapped up superbly within thirty minutes every day was the best. The spinoff, a Netflix original, focuses on the youngsters now that they are all grown up with kids of their own!

Grown-Ish: Black-Ish Spinoff

Grown-ish and Black-ish are two interesting TV shows to watch for people who love hilarious and quirky humor. Black-ish came first and is a show that has run for six seasons so far starting in 2014. It is considered to be a sitcom, and it stars Anthony Anderson and Tracy Ellis Ross in the leading roles. They raise a family of four kids in a super nice and classy neighborhood. Due to the color of their skin, they wonder how well they fit in everywhere they go.

The spinoff to their show is called Grown-ish. It is about their daughter as she leaves for college and must try to figure out what freedom, dating, academics, and friendship are like in the real world on her own.

Bachelor In Paradise: The Bachelor Spinoff

The Bachelor is another classic an iconic show on this list that has run successfully for quite a long time—25 seasons, to be exact. It is considered a reality show, and it first started airing in 2002. It is presented by a host named Chris Harrison who is great when it comes to making situations less tense and less awkward!

Bachelor in Paradise is one of the spinoffs to come from the show, and it focuses on the premise of adults in their 20s and 30s trying to find love and romance for the first time with each other. Instead of being stuck in a nice mansion, they are out on an island.

Degrassi: Next Class: Degrassi The Next Generation Spinoff

Degrassi the Next Generation first premiered in 2001 and is considered a teen drama. It ran for 13 seasons, finally coming to an end in 2015. Its main production location was Toronto, Ontario, although it moved around to several networks including TeenNick, CTV, and MTV while it was being filmed. One of the biggest names to come from Degrassi the Next Generation would have to be Drake who played the character of Jimmy Brooks!

Degrassi: Next Class is the spinoff that no one could ever get enough of! Sadly, it only ran for four seasons. It first premiered in 2016, and we still wish to this day that we could get more episodes of Degrassi: Next Class.

Sam & Cat: Victorious And iCarly Spinoff

Sam and Cat is a spinoff show that exists from two other Ariana Grande, while iCarly starred Miranda Crossgrove and Jennette McCurdy.

Ariana Grande and Jenette McCurdy were plucked from there to respective TV shows and placed together to star on Sam and Cat together. Sam and Cat was a great Nickelodeon TV show about two girls who started their own babysitting business, taking care of kids, and earning money for themselves independently!
