the show it spawned from. Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman is a fascinating character and fans' connection to him, despite some of the terrible things he has done, is one of the main reasons the show has found such success and remains popular.

Taking a look at various scenes and plotlines from Better Call Saul, this list will break down the top moments when Jimmy is at his best and when he's at his lowest.

Shining Moment: Looking After Chuck

Jimmy checks up on Chuck at his home in Better Call Saul

Prior to the complete collapse of Chuck and Jimmy's relationship, the two brothers had an amicable friendship despite Chuck being a difficult person to be around with frequent and complex needs.

This doesn't stop Jimmy from taking care of his brother and helping Chuck deal with his "hypersensitivity" to the electromagnetic fields generated by electronic devices. Everything from constant checkups to grocery shopping, Jimmy bends over backward to look after his brother who has secretly been sabotaging him for years.

Lowest Moment: Stealing From His Parents

As revealed by Chuck, and also confirmed to a degree by Jimmy himself, when the two of them were younger, Jimmy would steal money from the shop his parents owned. Taking advantage of his ability to twist his parents into believing he was an innocent angel, Jimmy would frequently rob them.

According to Chuck, Jimmy stole somewhere around $15,000 and is the reason that his parents had to close down their shop.

Shining Moment: Returns The Kettleman's Embezzled Money

After accepting a bribe from the Kettleman's from a large amount of money they embezzled together, Jimmy is locked into an agreement with them that makes him an accessory to their criminal acts.

In an attempt to help Kim, and also severe his ties to the Kettleman's and their crimes, Jimmy hires Mike to sneak into their house and return the money to the proper authorities. Killing two birds with one stone, Jimmy does the woman he loves a favor and also clears his conscience.

Lowest Moment: Turns Irene's Friends Against Her

Although the damage on this one is minimal by the conclusion, this is still one of Jimmy's worst moments in the series. In an attempt to get himself a major payout from a lawsuit, Jimmy manipulates Irene's friends and makes them turn their back on her so that Irene is forced to accept a lesser deal on the Sandpiper case.

Poor Irene is left friendless and falls into a depression, all because of Jimmy and his ruthless nature.

Shining Moment: Gets Irene Her Friends Back

Directly tied to the above example, in one of Jimmy's finer moments he realizes the terrible things he did to Irene and throws himself under the bus in order to fix it. Not caring at all about turning himself into a villain, Jimmy its to Irene and her friends how he manipulated them and turned them against each other.

Although poor Irene had already experienced depression from Jimmy's actions, he's able to redeem himself by mending Irene's relationship with her friends.

Lowest Moment: Cruel Towards Hamlin

Hamlin is a character that takes a while to connect with, as he appears to be the reason Jimmy can't become a lawyer with HHM. However, after we learn that it was Chuck who was sabotaging Jimmy, Hamlin becomes a much more sympathetic character.

He becomes even more sympathetic when Jimmy allows him to believe that it's his fault Chuck commit suicide, even though Jimmy knows it was his own actions that drove Chuck to kill himself. The cruelty gets even worse when Hamlin tries to hire Jimmy at HHM and Jimmy then decides to torment Hamlin to suppress his own guilt.

Shining Moment: Saves Chuck At The Copy Shop

Near the peak of Chuck and Jimmy's war with each other, Chuck has an accident at a copy shop during his quest to prove that Jimmy altered important paperwork that lost Chuck a client.

When Chuck falls unconscious and strikes his head against a table, leaving him in a potentially fatal position, Jimmy steps in to help despite the fact that doing so implicates him further in the crimes Chuck accuses him of.

Lowest Moment: Drives Chuck To Suicide

On the opposite end of the spectrum, after saving his brother's life Jimmy then proceeds to completely dismantle it and drive Chuck into a depression that ultimately results in Chuck killing himself by setting his house on fire.

This is one of the lowest points for Jimmy in Better Call Saul, especially because Jimmy's involvement in Chuck's death seems to be the main catalyst in Jimmy falling down the path that eventually leads him to Saul Goodman.

Shining Moment: Gets Kim Mesa Verde Back

Kim talking to Mesa Verde clients in Better Call Saul

In Jimmy's struggle to get Kim mega-client Mesa Verde back, a client she deserved to have, he has to take some desperate measures that eventually lead to Chuck's death. Still, Jimmy is successful in his quest, and justice is served for Kim.

One of Jimmy's finest moments to be sure, he does everything he can to make the woman he loves happy. Fans believe that the actions he took were ruthless, especially in regards to Chuck, but justified in the end.

Lowest Moment: Corrupts Kim

Kim refuses to be Jimmy's business partner in Better Call Saul

One of the saddest truths in Better Call Saul is that Jimmy has slowly but surely been corrupting Kim and turning her into an image of himself. Kim is a fiercely intelligent and brilliant woman who has been wildly successful as a person and a professional, but Jimmy pulling her into his world and the way he thinks has affected her ethics and what she's willing to do to get even.

Fans can't wait for the final season of Better Call Saul to find out how this top-notch series will end.
