Here is everything that the cast of The Big Bang Theory is doing now, three years after the show came to an end. Whether it be in animation or live-action, everyone has been involved in various projects since the show ended. Some have been relatively small, and others have ended up becoming big in their own right, but whatever the case, everyone has been doing something worth mentioning since The Big Bang Theory ended.
In 2019, The Big Bang Theory finally came to a close after a massive twelve-year run. During that time, the show slowly developed an all-star cast and launched the careers of many of its stars, most notably Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, and Kunal Nayyar. The show’s guest stars also benefited from their involvement with the show, with one notable example being Bob Newhart winning his first Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Professor Proton.
The Big Bang Theory had a very notable cast of talent, and this is what they’ve all been involved with since the show ended. While the show had plenty of guest stars, the most impressive thing is the careers the main cast went on to have after The Big Bang Theory ended. Clearly, they took advantage of the show's popularity. Here's where the cast is now.
Johnny Galecki
Johnny Galecki starred as Leonard Hofstadter, the straight man of The Big Bang Theory and ostensibly the main protagonist of the series. Since the Roseanne.
Jim Parsons
Jim Parsons starred as abrasive, emotionally-stunted genius Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory, and he has remained notably active since the show’s ending. Parsons portrayed talent agent Henry Willson in the miniseries Young Sheldon, and he’s served as an executive producer on both Special and Call Me Kat.
Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco starred as Penny, Leonard’s primary love interest in The Big Bang Theory and the most well-adjusted of the main characters. Following the end of the show, Cuoco starred as the protagonist of both Meet Cute, and a currently undisclosed role in the movie Role Play.
Simon Helberg
Simon Helberg starred as Howard Wolowitz, the comedic, would-be ladies’ man who grows into a family man through his relationship with Bernadette. After The Big Bang Theory ended, Helberg voiced the squirrel in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Kyra Sedgwick.
Kunal Nayyar
Kunal Nayyar starred as Raj Koothrappali, the other major source of comedic relief who constantly struggled with women to the point that he was physically incapable of talking to them sober for half of the series. Since the end of The Big Bang Theory, Nayyar guest-starred as Sandeep Singh in Criminal: UK, a role that earned him a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best ing Actor, and he also starred as Aadesh Chopra in Apple TV+’s DreamWorks' Trolls World Tour. He’s also set to star in the film Spaceman and will also star as A.J. Fikry in the film adaptation of the book The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, which will also feature Lucy Hale and Christina Hendricks.
Mayim Bialik
Mayim Bialik starred as Amy Farrah Fowler, another genius whose social awkwardness inhibits her genuine desire for love and friendship. She becomes Sheldon’s love interest, with their relationship being responsible for the majority of each of their character development. In 2022, Bialik made her directorial debut with the movie As They Made Us, which she also wrote and produced and starred fellow The Big Bang Theory co-star Simon Helberg. Bialik reprised her role as Amy via voiceover in Young Sheldon, appeared as herself on Celebrity Show-Off and Match Game, and she also curated DC’s Flash Facts, a children's book that has Barry Allen teach young readers about science. Presently, Bialik stars as Kat in Call Me Kat, which she’s also the executive producer for, and also alternates with Ken Jennings as the host of Jeopardy!
Melissa Rauch
Melissa Rauch starred as Bernadette Rostenkowski, a feisty microbiologist who’s friends with Penny and Amy and becomes Howard’s primary love interest. After The Big Bang Theory, Rauch starred as Melanie Martin in the Netflix film Night Court revival/sequel.
Kevin Sussman
Rounding out the main cast of The Big Bang Theory was Kevin Sussman’s Stuart Bloom, the owner of the local comic book shop who is constantly down on his luck to the point of depression. Sussman had a recurring role as Mark Roessler on Hulu’s Better Call Saul. Sussman is also set to star as Walter in Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry, a show about a female scientist in the '60s using a cooking show to educate housewives in science.
