Big Brother 22: All-Stars has introduced the Neighbor's House twist, which features Dr. Will Kirby and could impact the game. During the premiere night of BB22, host Julie Chen promised the viewers that this season would be filled with new twists that would all make things harder for these veteran players. The first twist of the season was Safety Suite. In short, each contestant received a VIP that could be redeemed one time during the first three weeks. This allowed the houseguest to play the Safety Suite competition once. The three people who won that comp each week guaranteed their safety along with a respective plus-one of their choice.
The second Big Brother 22 twist was the BB Basement competition. This time, all of the players competed at the same time for three powers that were valid for the next three weeks. Christmas Abbott won the Blocker power, which allowed her to block a houseguest of their choice from being the replacement nominee during a veto ceremony. Daniele Donato Briones won the Replay power, which gave her the option to pick an outgoing Head of Household to play the HOH comp again during the following week. David Alexander won the Disruptor power, which allowed him to save a contestant from being on the block and guaranteed their safety for that week.
Now, there's a new twist on Big Brother: All-Stars: the Neighbor's House, featuring none other than Dr. Will Kirby. This twist seems straightforward, at least based on Will's initial explanation. The competitions on BB22 will now give the houseguests the option to compete for power or for prizes. Usually, these temptations are cash prizes, trips, or other monetary goods. But because this is such a traditional trope for BB, the fans aren't buying it that this is all there is to the Neighbor's House twist. Moreover, Dr. Will said in his message that the All-Stars will be seeing him again, meaning that there'll be even more announcements to come.
This BB22 Neighbor's House twist was first announced during last Thursday's episode, when Ian Terry was evicted from the show and Memphis Garrett won his second HOH of the season. The fans spent seven days speculating what this Neighbor's House could mean, as well as which BB legend was going to be living in it. There's definitely some potential for this twist to impact the game being played, but not much can be concluded from Dr. Will's initial message to the All-Stars.
Only time will tell how much the Neighbor's House twist will actually impact the game. With that said, it is noteworthy that all of the twists so far had pretty significant consequences to the All-Stars game being played.
Big Brother 22: All-Stars airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8pm EST on CBS.
