Check out this exclusive song from the soundtrack to the latest Bill & Ted film, composed by the Oscar-nominated Mark Isham. Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan return for one last adventure in Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are back for one last go-round in Bill & Ted Face the Music, which is once again penned by the original writing duo of Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
In this course of history forever.
The Bill & Ted movies have always relied on music to help tell the story, whether through licensed rock and roll songs or original music composed for the movies. Composer David Newman wrote the music for the first two movies, and now Mark Isham is carrying on the legacy with his original score for Bill & Ted Face the Music. The broad musical tapestry of the film encomes grand orchestral arrangements, sci-fi synth elements, and righteous rocking guitars. Screen Rant was given the original tune, MP46, embedded in the YouTube video above.
Composer Mark Isham has been composing music for films since the early 1980s, having written scores for dozens of movies and television series over the decades, including Point Break, The ant, and A River Runs Through It, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. MP46 is just a taste of what Bill & Ted fans can expect from the Original Motion Picture Score album, published by Lakeshore Records.
The complete original score for Bill & Ted Face the Music is due to release digitally on August 28, the same day as the film itself. The movie will release in both theaters and home platforms, allowing everyone access to the movie, even if they are unwilling to take the risk of going to the movies during a volatile viral pandemic. Longtime Bill & Ted fans have waited nearly 30 years for this moment, and the ability to see the film from the safety of their own homes is a gift from the great gods of rock and roll.
