Black Adam just became an official Justice League member, thanks to Superman. He has proven himself a worthy superhero whose prior ways were wrong, despite having the makings of a hero within side himself. In Justice League #64 by Brian Michael Bendis and Steve Pugh, Aquaman and Black Adam seem to have formed a connection. In this issue, Aquaman is surprisingly chummy with Black Adam as he prepares to train Naomi. He even refers to Black Adam by his official title as King Teth Adam. Here, Aquaman gives him the respect of a fellow king, and knowing Black Adam, he'll appreciate it. Also, Aquaman shares a funny anecdote about his childhood to Black Adam, before being punched by Naomi. With all of this, it can be assumed that Aquaman and Black Adam's friendship is just beginning. But what could come out of it? Something huge potentially.
Currently, the U.S. is waging war with Atlantis in Action Comics. This occurred after Superman and Superboy discovered Thao-La and the ancient Kryptonian refugees from Warworld. Following them was a flurry of Warzoon ships, with invaluable technology. After some of the ships crashed into the ocean, Atlantis claimed the wreckage as their own. On the Warzoon ship, the Atlanteans find an incredibly powerful energy source. Now, Superman is trying to prevent the war but he finds himself in a tricky situation, trying to ease the tension between the two nations. With Aquaman and Black Adam's new bond, it's possible that the king of Kahndaq could side with Atlantis if called upon. Also, the U.S. is not an ally of Black Adam's country.
It's clear that Superman and his family will be alone in their fight to cease the impending war. If Black Adam were to get involved it would mean certain doom for the U.S. and Superman. Aquaman and Black Adam's alliance could be what wins Atlantis' hold on the Warzoon power source. However, it must be noted that Action Comics might choose to contain the number of heroes included. In that case, Black Adam would be excluded from their war, although it would make sense if he intervened.
