Summary
- Black Clover's final arc promises cathartic conclusions for character storylines.
- Moving to Jump GIGA allows for consistent high-quality chapters.
- Fans can expect satisfying and well-paced endings similar to Bleach's Thousand-Year Blood War.
Black Clover is one of the most recognizable ongoing shonen battle manga around, and while it's building toward the conclusion of its final arc, its anime adaptation stopped short of season 5. On top of a reduced overall output for the series, fans wondered when they'd see the series get more episodes adapted, especially in light of the most exciting Spade Kingdom Raid Arc moments ahead. But with Judgment Day hitting the Clover Kingdom and surrounding world in Black Clover, the manga sets the story up for a climax similar to Bleach's Thousand-Year Blood War Arc.
With the previous arc arguably the most exciting Black Clover has ever been, the final chapters are Yūki Tabata's opportunity to wow the readers with cathartic conclusions to multiple character storylines. Since moving to Jump GIGA, the series has also begun to steadily feed readers with reasonably long, high-quality chapters broken into pairs of two, with a pattern of each new release focusing on concise, action-packed battles.
For the fans, the prospect of a cathartic finish sparks hope for the final Black Clover arc, as it already delivers pulse-pounding action.

Yet another Dragon Ball reference appears in popular manga with Black Clover channeling an iconic Goku & Gohan moment in a climactic battle.
Black Clover Creator Promises Satisfying Conclusion to Final Arc
Fans Seeking a Thousand-Year Blood War Treatment Are in Luck
Black Clover having moved to Jump GIGA enables Tabata to focus on delivering consistent quality over a more relaxed release schedule, while teasing a satisfying conclusion. It seems tricky to compare the series to Bleach, especially given Tabata's health and trouble keeping up with the Weekly Shonen Jump schedule being a parallel to Tite Kubo's issues finishing Bleach. But, in light of Tabata's statement about the publication change allowing his drawing pace to keep up with the schedule, Black Clover is given the time it needs to conclude without being rushed, as shown in his statement:
As Black Clover has continued, I have found that I have started to struggle with the weekly manga creation schedule. After multiple discussions with the editorial department, it has been decided that I will move the series to Jump GIGA. I know this sudden decision may be a shock to many of my readers. I'm so sorry for not being able to end the series in Weekly Shonen jump. But I believe that in GIGA, I will be able to end the series in a manner that matches my current drawing pace and is much better for my health.
There is still much that I want to draw and much that I must draw, so please look forward to it. I will do my best to conclude Black Clover in the most satisfying way possible. I know I am making you wait a little bit, but I promise to return to GIGA in the winter in a powered-up form, so please look forward to reading about Asta's next adventure. Thank you for everything!
-Yūki Tabata, Black Clover Chapter #368
The irable statement reminds readers of the enormous pressure writers take on at Weekly Shonen Jump, while teasing that Tabata has no intents of concluding Black Clover without a suitably epic flourish. For fans antsy about the comparison to Thousand-Year Blood War, it's a good instance of the series being given the space and time it deserves to be concluded, instead of one year like in Bleach's case. But another exciting aspect of Black Clover's final arcs is how the anime could approach them, especially given Pierrot's quality record since Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War's adaptation.
Black Clover Season 5 and Onward Could Get the TYBW Treatment
Finishing the Fight and Finishing It Right
Some of the best fights in Black Clover could get the proper adaptation they deserve.
Black Clover finished its fourth season at a much lower episode count than previous years, with season 5 being left indefinitely in the air as their studio, best fights in Black Clover could get the proper adaptation they deserve. This means drawn-out yet satisfying clashes between Asta's jaw-dropping clash with Lilith and Nahamah, Yuno's incredible power-up against a deadly nemesis, and more.
While the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc is sufficient to occupy Pierrot's newly seasonal schedule for Black Clover season 5 and possibly beyond, the final arc will also be a beautiful spectacle. The series bears down on its inevitable conclusion, which, while slowed down initially by prior moments leading to Lucius' Judgment Day event, has released glorious, cathartic battles such as Noelle's ultimate victory in chapters #372 and #373. Black Clover escapes the same fate of Bleach in manga form, yet could also benefit from how Bleach's Thousand-Year Blood War anime changed the game for Pierrot.
