Actor: Issa Rae was born in Los Angeles, California. Her YouTube comedy series Awkward Black Girl, which ran from 2011-2013, proved to be her breakout role. She went on to co-create, co-write, and star in HBO's Insecure from 2016-2021, along with playing the role of April Ofrah in the 2018 adaptation of the novel The Hate U Give. Rae has more recently starred in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Barbie, and American Fiction.

Character: Issa Rae plays Brandy Friday, a famous actor who is tired of being typecast. When she hears about an remake of the classic romance movie Hotel Reverie, she jumps at the opportunity, and is ecstatic at the idea of getting to play a romantic lead with agency. However, the experience is not at all what she expected, and she is thrust into a world more thrilling and terrifying than she could have ever imagined.

Emma Corrin

Actor: Emma Corrin was born in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. Her breakout role was as Princess Diana in season 4 of Netflix's The Crown, as Corrin won a Golden Globe Award and receiving an Emmy Award nomination for her performance. She continued to play memorable television roles as amateur detective Darby Hart in A Murder at the End of the World. Corrin also starred in two of 2024's biggest movies, with her portrayal of the villainous Cassandra Nova in Deadpool & Wolverine and as Anna Harding in Nosferatu.

Character: Emma Corrin plays Dorothy Chambers and Clara in "Hotel Reverie." Dorothy Chambers is the famous actor who played the character of Clara in the Hotel Reverie movie. For most of the episode, Corrin plays the character as an AI construct created by the Redream technology. After several mishaps occur, the Clara AI construct begins to question the nature of her reality.

Awkwafina

Actor: Awkwafina was born in Stony Brook, New York. Before starring in movies and television, she gained recognition for her rap and comedy. Some of her earlier acting roles include Christine in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Constance in Ocean's Eight, and Peik Lin Goh in Crazy Rich Asians. Awkwafina has taken on many voice acting roles as well, ranging from SkekLach/The Collector in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance to the dragon Sisu in Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon. She later ed the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Katy Chen in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Character: Awkwafina plays Kimmy, a representative who works for Redream. She convinces Judith Keyworth to remake Hotel Reverie via Redream when Keyworth Pictures is financially struggling. Kimmy tells Brandy what to do throughout the process of remaking the film via Redream, but she is unprepared for the many errors and unforeseen dangers that occur along the way.

Harriet Walter

Actor: Harriet Walter was born in London, England. She has extensive experience as a stage actor, and has had many television and movie roles. Walter played Fanny Dashwood in the 1995 adaptation of the Jane Austen novel Sense and Sensibility and Emily Tallis in the 2007 movie Atonement. More recently, Walter has starred in a variety of critically acclaimed television shows, including her roles as Lady Caroline Collingwood in Succession, Deborah Welton in Ted Lasso, and Martha Walker in Silo.

Character: Harriet Walter plays Judith Keyworth, who is trying to save Keyworth Pictures from dire financial straits. Keyworth Pictures was originally her father's studio, and it was renowned for making cherished movies like Hotel Reverie. When Kimmy explains how Redream can affordably remake Hotel Reverie with top-tier talent, Judith sees it as her last hope to save the studio.

Charlie Hiscock as Jack: Charlie Hiscock plays Jack, one of the employees who is helping to operate the Redream technology. Hiscock is best known for playing Will in Ted Lasso, who becomes the AFC Richmond kit man after Nathan Shelley (Nick Mohammed) becomes a coach. Hiscock has also appeared in the Academy Award-nominated movie Poor Things.

Danielle Vitalis as Mika: Danielle Vitalis plays Mika, another employee operating the Redream technology and making sure it is in sync with the original Hotel Reverie movie. Vitalis played a different character in the Black Mirror season 6 episode "Joan Is Awful." Outside of Black Mirror, she has had roles in Attack the Block and the 2022 parody movie The Bubble.

Stanley Weber as Claude: Stanley Weber plays Claude, the antagonist of the original and remake of Hotel Reverie, who is trying to kill his wife, Clara. Weber previously played the Count of Saint Germain in Outlander and Count Andrenyi in Agatha Christie's Poirot.

Asheq Akhtar as Otto: Asheq Akhtar plays Otto, a henchman secretly working for Claude. Other roles Akhtar has played before Black Mirror include Professor Jotham Santelia in His Dark Materials and a prisoner in the critically acclaimed live-action Star Wars show Andor.
