new Zombies characters, brand-new Wonder Weapons, and a return to the GobbleGum upgrade system. A much anticipated new feature is the brand-new Perk-A-Cola called Melee Macchiato.
Perk-A-Cola is an upgrade system which sees stylized vending machines producing beverages to assist the player in their survival. Seven other Perk-A-Colas will be present at launch, but Melee Macchiato is the first perk to be exclusive to Black Ops 6. It looks to add to the fast-paced Zombies experience by gearing the player for a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding playstyle, which has the potential to become a fan favorite.
How Melee Macchiato Works
The New Augments Will Boost Perk-A-Colas
Melee Macchiato will be introduced in the brand-new Black Ops 6 Zombies maps, Terminus and Liberty Falls, which are available from launch. The perk will cost the player 2,500 points, with the vending machine brandishing a pair of boxer gloves (which will damage nearby zombies when the player interacts with the machine). Melee Macchiato will replace the standard gun butt move with a punch that will launch enemies far away. As part of Black Ops 6's new Augment System, the move will be upgraded even further to be devastating throughout rounds.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombie Prep: Everything You Need To Get Ready
Zombies are back and coming to Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6. Thankfully, there are new weapons and features to help players get prepped for them.
Two Augments out of a potential six can be added to the Melee Macchiato perk; one Major and one Minor. Major Augments can increase the speed of the punches, heal the player, or damage multiple enemies at the same time. The Minor Augmentations will assist in partially reloading the main weapon of the player, improve backpedal speed, or kill normal zombies and enemies instantly further into the rounds. These effects will not only allow for individual concoctions to be created depending on the desired playstyle, but it will also ensure that Melee Macchiato will be an essential Perk-A-Cola for players.
Why Melee Macchiato Works
Sustaining Players Into Late Rounds
Melee Macchiato's vibrant visual aesthetic and viability looks like it will fit right into the Perk-A-Cola catalog. Potentially, it may become one of the essential Perks to buy first. Melee attacks typically lose their effectiveness in later rounds, but this new perk looks to change this and reward aggressive and high-risk maneuvers - this will add to the more violent tone of Black Ops 6's Zombies. Saving ammo and restoring small amounts by using the Perk will sustain players as they reach for high rounds. It's efficient and effective.
Melee Macchiato acts as a helpful emergency button.
As Call of Duty's Zombies game mode rewards careful and measured approaches to "training" Zombies, Melee Macchiato acts as a helpful emergency button. A mob of zombies that have suddenly swarmed the player can now be pushed away with one simple move. This gives the player a moment of breathing space to reload, pop a GobbleGum, or make a quick getaway; something that'll be essential for solo players. This new Perk-A-Cola in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will likely become an innovative and enjoyable addition to Zombies.
